.................................. snipped..............
As for Neil Hamilton I do rather like his quirky character and the ability to take the piss out of himself. As you watched QT last night TH, who was that ghastly Tory woman who was put right in her place by Dimbleby , over the obvious inability to keep her mouth shut? What a horrid woman I have to say.
The Tory toffs Cameron and in particular Osborne have been possibly shown for what they are. The UK's triple AAA credit rating, the very thing Osborne based his strategy on and how he felt people would judge him, have shown that he is losing the battle.
...................... snipped............
Losing our triple A rating is going to have disastrous affects for all of us in one way or another, and I can see the similarities with Osborne and Brown. Both Chancellors and both clueless about how to do the job they are paid to do, and will leave their office with the economy and country being in a worse state than when they took over the mantle from their predecessors.

Just a thought Star - if Osborne and Cameron are toffs - what does that make Neil Hamilton? King Toff?
Claire Perry is a credit to all MP's. Full of passion, highly intelligent and in politics for the right reasons. She and the Lib Dem panelists were the only ones to make sensible, rather than populist, comments.
As was made clear last night the downgrading of the credit rating was BECAUSE the defecit was not coming down fast enough and BECAUSE of the worldwide slow down. Labours answer is to borrow more and spend more (nothing new) UKIP answer is to make deeper and more svage cuts even greater than now and the Coalition policy is to continue cuts but commit to spending where they can. I don't know where anyone else stand on this but out of the three alternatives I reckon that carrying on as is is better than the previous failed policy and the proposed UKIP policy of even more severe austerity measures.
Losing the AAA credit rating will have no meaningful effect at all.

King Toff TH?? Have you actually done any of your homework or is your dislike of UKIP so high on your agenda that nothing else actually matters?
Whilst I knew little about Hamilton, what I did know was that he came from a relatively normal background and that his parents were not some high and mighty multi millionaires. His Father was a Chief engineer for the National Coal Board, his Grandfathers were actually coal miners. Did you know that TH? I mean seems a million miles away from the toffs of Cameron and Osborne. Hamilton attended a Grammar school which is nothing toff about that either. Did you also know that in 1971 he opposed the joining of the then EEC as well, so his feelings over Europe it seems have not altered.
Also he was a teacher from 1973 to 1976, and in 1992 he went against the then Major Government by voting against the Maastricht Treaty. Now whilst I knew little of this information TH, I would presume neither did you. So you see no Eaton for this man and no Oxford Uni either it seems. So not King Toff I would have thought. Well that's a bit of a blow to you eh? rolleyes

The rest is nothing but your opinion and you obviously one sided views on British politics. You can carry on voting Tory TH, at the next election it will be one of those things called.........a wasted vote. lol

MY apologies - I thought that Neil Hamilton used to be a Tory - which in your generalised pigeon holing - would have made him a toff? Now he is a UKIP Member though he is not a toff? Is that how it works?
I am interested in what you think about UKIP policy to make deeper and more savage cuts as outlined by Hamilton last night? Your opposition to the coalition cuts has been as vigorous as your anti immigrant stance so I am just wondering how you sit with that? Would you put up with a bigger attack on the welfare system and the removal of more benefits just to see UKIP take on Europe and immigration?
I watched Question Time last night as I like to see MP's put on the spot.
What I saw was Neil Hamilton taking the micky out of himself which is a quality I like to see within people but not within politics, as politics is what they would do for us and not making a joke out of themselves.
Claire Perry's passion but you have to know when to curb passion and let others talk, as when you do, you can see their flaws in their inability to answer a direct question truthfully and honesty and show themselves up rather than yourself.
Angela Eagle left me wanting to kill myself, she looked sad and miserable being on the program.
So the two that stood out for me and showed total conviction in what they said were Jeremy Browne and David Dimbleby.

Dimbleby always stands out on QT. He is a master at getting his guests to do as they are told, when told too.
Sorry I did not see passion in Claire Perry last night, but what I did see is a loud mouthed rude and over bearing MP. If I was in that audience I would have loved to have stood up and told her to just shut the fuck up. That would have ruffled a few feathers.
Agree that Angela Eagle did look like she was sitting on a rose thorn. She just left me wanting to hit myself.
Jeremy Browne looked shifty on many occasions and a bit squirmy on his seat, and more than once out of his depth. I would have loved to see him on a panel with George Galloway. When the question came up about the Lib Dems stance on inappropriate behaviour towards women, and his leaders inability to know something or should that be he did not know, was funny. We all know that the Lib Dems preach one thing to their voters, but do something completely different to be able to have a little tad of power within British politics. They have thrown out their very fundamental policies to be able to jump into bed with Cameron, but the Lib Dems would have jumped into bed with Humpty Dumpty if it meant power sharing of sorts.
Clegg firstly said he knew nothing, and then something. It is obvious that he was lying to start with and I always thought the Liberals stood for a fair and just system for all?
The other curious thing about Neil Hamilton, which seems to escaped star's notice, is that he is a once time disgraced MP (Cash for Questions IIRC) and also a contestant on GMOOH reality TV (or something similar) both traits star has been known to castigate vehemently in recent times but now, in his apparent re-incarnation, star now applauds!
There's hope for gorgeous George yet then it seems (if only he will drop his pro-Islamist views)

Star, so you would take the same stance if you run a business or in a management position that you would sack someone and be held accountable for all those around you based on the probability at the time of hearsay ?
As yet we don't know what Clegg may of or not known. We don't know if it was hearsay or the complaint of the victim.
I don't believe Jeremy Browne should feel responsible for others actions either and be bought to question over others actions.
If we go down the line of blame everyone within an organisation for others actions that would be foolish.
Clegg isn't responsible for all the peoples own actions within the party.
I do however believe Nick Clegg should not have lied and said he knew nothing, he should have said he had heard something if that is what had happened. I also believe in lying in the beginning was stupid.
If we take this stance then I would ask.
Have you ever been in an environment where you have seen men make sexually advances towards a woman?
If so what have you done about it?
If nothing, does this not make you as bad as Clegg?
We have to watch who we blame here and for what.
This case I believe needs to be decided upon the evidence of the victim/s and the perpetrator.
Clegg needs to be honest with what he was told or knew.

He is not responsible but was asked a very simple question. I thought the show was actually called QUESTION Time ? He squirmed in his seat when asked. He was representing his party on a BBC political programe where he knew full well that question was going to be aimed at him to answer. He ducked it simple as that.

He is the leader of that party and with that comes certain responsibilities for his parties members and MP's.

What is the matter Star you never answered the question?
Did you squirm a little in your seat and start looking shifty? rotflmao
You saw not purpose to the questions?
Sorry I don't believe you are being honest. I can not believe you have never seen the interaction between men making advances towards women inappropriately?
I just asked when you have what did you do about it?
I liked the story I heard recently from a woman where a man acted inappropriately towards her and leaned through her car window, she did the window up and trapped his head. lol
I think he's trying his arm at politics minxy.
The only problem is, he hasn't yet mastered the art of not answering a question whilst appearing to answer the question.

Minx you should be in politics because you seem to know everybody who has done everything.
I wondered where the relevance of your question was at the time. I can say with all honesty that I have never myself witnessed a male worker grab a woman's breasts or her arse. I have seen women on many occasions make lewd comments against a young lad that used to work at one of my old firms, but that probably does not count eh Minx?
Banter we used to call it, but now it seems it is offensive and must be dealt with by the law. Women I am sure can give as good as they get. Now your going to say that I am lying, or what now Minx? I suppose that you have seen men grabbing women?
I believe for the record that if a male made inappropriate advances towards a woman, then he should be reported. Now there's honesty for ya.

Actually Star in my first post about the incident I at no time blamed anyone. I find your response as an attack on as the problem. You have done what most people do defend and attack. As I never attacked anyone and was simply stating you were blaming the party.
I tried a responsible way to highlight this fact you made. Now you are attacking woman.
Star I work in an all male environment I am respected by the men and only one man in around 100 that I have dealings with has ever made an advance towards me inappropriate way. Men that do this don't do it openly for others to always see, he followed me into the kitchen when I went to get drinks for the children there. I think he could see by my face he better back off and never talk to me again. This is different from general banter.
What I was saying about Clegg and others that there is a high possibility that he would not have witnessed anything that would have caused him concern. as you have shown in your response you have never seen it happen either. That is the point I was making about you keeping on about Clegg what he saw or didn't see.

Star please keep up. I really find myself having to keep repeating myself to you.
I am both self employed and do bookkeeping/ accounts for private clients and am based at home. On top of that for the past 21 years have and still working in voluntary roles within the community.
The past 5 years doing this has been in a very male environment of all ages.
Star I suggest you should do voluntary work it has taught me a lot of skills meeting loads of different people of all ages. It might give you a sense of purpose in life.
I do accounts to pay bills but my heart and passion is in the time I give to others. You should try it with all the spare time you must have now. It might open your eyes up, to see things in a whole different way in life. It might also stop you trying to point score against people you believe you can tie up and prove they could be lying when in fact I don't need to lie or be vindictive towards people. I think I have been your target on many occasions for just being honest about how I see things based on what I do and from my own eyes. Not through the eyes of politians, parties, reporters.
So once again I find you trying to call me a liar.
