Listening to Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 6 at the mo and he is discussing food crimes. Pineapple on pizza is, apparently, one (and I know a few folk who would agree!) Listeners have also suggested carrots in spaghetti bolognese and celery in stew. However, my favourite has been the tinned tomatoes' inclusion on the breakfast plate, or as Mark Radcliffe puts it the "red devil interloper of the Full English scene" :lol2: What constitutes food crime to you? For me it is simply tomato ketchup. The devil's foodstuff and not welcome on any plate. Ever.
There are loads of foods that offend me... mostly due to my texture issues. Mushrooms are the most disgusting things... I like the flavour but the texture makes me gag! Onions aren't much better but I can live with those if they're chopped up really small. Oysters... :sticky: I like pineapple on pizza!! :smug:
Beans on a fry up can cause all sorts of issues. Personally I dont mind as long as the beans dont touch the egg. People that pour beans over their fry up willy nilly without a care are heathens.

Beans should never touch the egg... ever!! :scared:
I love oysters. Preferably raw with tabasco & lemon, on the half shell. But I will happily eat them in cooked dishes too. Guess that's what Nolaville does to a gal :giggle:

Yeah yeah drone drone. Where do you stand on beans on a fry up??? Beans, ok. But not all over it. Tinned tomatoes, definitely no.

Pineapple on pizza. No, it's wrong. I do like pineapple, but it just doesn't work there. Being a veggie, I get all sorts of cack offered to me. People think they're being nice by making me something "special". No. Behave. Keep your damn "special"!!! I know people are only helping. But no. Actually, I'm not really all *that* fussy with food. It's the odd combinations that people do with it that gets me irate. Keep it simple! And keep the pineapple off the pizza!!!

yer big jessy - it's all mixed up in yer stomach anyway. Dear oh dear, where to begin? One doesnt put ketchup on caviar does one? One might have ketchup on ones chips immediately after the caviar but the fact it all ends up in ones stomach is irrelevant. You pheasant!!

Pineapple on pizza is clearly very wrong indeed. As is Marmite. And tomato ketchup. And oysters, yack. Just, wrong. I like beans mixed with egg. If eating anything with fried egg though, I always leave the yolk untouched until last, then it goes in the old gob, whole. Tapioca is just disgusting, in appearance, taste and texture.

Why would you put ketchup on caviar - it's fish, salt n vinegar would be the condiments of choice. Pheasant!!! Are you insinuating I'm well hung, or that I should be well hung?

Yes!!! Has to be eaten like that. Pineapple on pizza maybe, depends what else is one it. Beans can sit next to the egg, but not all over it. I have to say my food things are mostly presentation related. I can't abide people who pile everything onto a plate in a huge mound that you have to dig through. I like to see everything I'm eating in neat little servings on my plate so I get to choose what goes onto each forkful
put it this way my choice of food is similar to essex....i am really fussy but pinapple on a pizza is wrong.....wrong.......wrong...first it is fruit and i dont do fruit...second fruit on a savoury pizza....ewwwwww

But technically, tomatoes are fruit. Nobody questions tomatoes on pizza, do they?
People letting the egg touch the beans, people pouring the beans all over the egg and people not giving a shit. You people, do your heads wobble when you speak?
