LOL. The film looks brilliantly bad....just checked and Donald Pleasence claimed this to be the worse film he ever made.
A TV series called Automan, where the main character was digital and drove something like a Lamborghini with fluorescent stripes/lights. He had a sidekick who was a man and whenever he went round a corner he did instantly at 90degrees forcing the "real" man against the passenger window lol
A film called "Theatre of Blood" Where Vincent Price is a rubbish actor/director who insists on only doing Shakespeare plays. Well all the critics pan him and his productions so he decides to kill them in the style of a Shakespeare play; i.e. Merchant of Venice with his pound of flesh ;o) Superbly funny scene when he's trying to cut a blokes head off as his wife is lying next to him in bed...and the aftermath lmao
A children's series from the 70's - The Flaxton Boys. Set bbetween the wars, a young lad home from boarding school with his pal (both about 10?) and their adventurews at Flaxton Hall in Yorkshire. It must have been on TyneTees TV cos no-one I have mentiuoned it to remembers it. The only thing I really remember is an opening scene of elder brother flying in to land in the grounds in a wood/fabric single winged 'plane.
Also - I am convinced I am the only person that remembers my childhood. My Mum is losing the details (she is 83 after all) and I swear my sister was swapped by the body snatchers when she went to Uni cos we share absolutely NO memories and we are only 15 months apart.
Pacers.
Sweets, kinda like chewits but spearmint flavoured and green and white striped.
I remember a program called "Marmalade Atkins"... I also remember being fixated by her presence on screen. It was quite strange actually. Im sure there is something quite tragic about what happened to her come to think of it....
Oh sorry, i meant "four weddings and a funeral"... Yep, i just checked. It was her.
No-one else seems to remember the crazy golf in the playground of Graves park.
Reading some of the above posts has reminded me of some of the sweets i used to eat and drink as a kid.
a) Pez : A peculiar little brick shaped sweet that you would get out of container with Popeye's head on it. You pulled his head back and out came the sweet.
b) Fling : A soft drink that tasted of barley sugar. We used to put a spoonful of sugar in it and spray each other with the froth.
c) Jamboree bags. : A bag of sweets with a dreadful little plastic toy in it stamped 'made in Hong Kong' On the outside of the bag was printed a picture of boy scouts outside a tent.
Liquorice comfits anyone?
Or is it just me that looks up and down the aisles of Tesco every week?
Graves Park
I remember Branded, it was a fave of mine.
I cant recall the name of the square chewing gums which were full of a gloopy flavour syrup.
Does anybody remember the Age Exchange Reminiscence Centre in Blackheath?
