they normally do dave... the problem is normally some of the stuff that needs to be paid for up front....
I don't know if you have been given this advice tweeky... but rather that looking for something in the city centre which tend to cost a fortune to hire... have you tried a pub with a function room just outside the middle.....sometimes pubs have free functions rooms, that can be given on the understand that "X" amount of people will show up.......

Tweeky, why not scale it down and do a nice little cosy social, probably restrict it to around 10 people and possibly arrange to just go out for a drink (with numbers that low, you could use a standard venue) or do as Fabio suggested and ask if any local, out of town pubs, have a nice little room they would let you use free of charge?
After all the interested, I am sure that some of the other locals would be more than happy to help you out with this wink

Tweeky has already done a lot of work looking for venues, finding out as much information as she can etc etc etc, so come on, give her a lift!
IN OTHER WORDS, DONT LEAVE IT ALL TO TWEEKY, COME ON GUYS AND GIRLS, WHY NOT OFFER TO HELP FIND SOMEWHERE YOU CAN ALL GET TOGETHER FOR A GOOD OLD NATTER lol

Hi all. I am feeling rather bad about this now seems I went off at too fast a pace. This is not beyond the realms of possability BUT I cannot see a way now that this would happen at the time we originaly planned. We are planning on attending NWC's munch in Wigan which for us will be another expense to pay for (mailing you after this NWC). Mr Tweeky was the one looking at all the arrangements for this and he has no problem organising it now we just need to wait until maybe the end of April. This will give us time to work on the funds we need and throw a realy good event. Good things come to those who wait.
NOTE: Any experienced munch/social organisers available at the end of April? If so PM us we are happy to arrange everything we are however a little worried about being the hosts on our own. Would like someone with experience to help as hosts/advisors on the night.

Early May is akward so as I said above if Mr Tweeky does this it wil be the end of April. What are you interested in? attending or helping with hosting?

I think the problem with organising a Bristol munch at the end of April would be the fact that there's already one on the 22nd April. http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/swingers-forum/viewtopic/62095.html
I know the list's closed, but I'd imagine that an awful lot of people who'd want to come to yours will already be on that list confused

Sorry if it seems I'm being negative, I really don't mean to be, I think it's great that you're taking the initiative and organising something biggrin

Yeh very good point I should have noticed as I did put our names down but the list was already closed before we got on the forum. We are on the reserved list for that event as well anyway. Well here is the problem, we can and would organise an event not a problem at all accept for we are already planning to go to the Wigan Mini munch which means we have no funds left then. April as you point out is the Bristol munch, many family Birthdays and partys in May (have 3 close relation birthdays before may 10th and 2 after ). After that I will be out of the scene for some time by the end of June early July, just seems there is no time left. On holiday begining of June. Shame cus I think we could realy pull this off.
