I wasn't sure I could refrain from swear words when I read Bandtis post this morning so I'll just say :thumbup:
the main reason i posted a response like thank you for the meet guys, was for the following reasons:
1. so many timewasters on this site so nice to meet genuine people
2. the people who dont believe you are genuine now do
3. this site is a swinging site and what is wrong with saying thank you
4. allows other cpls/single males/fems to know there are other genuine people out there
if i am wrong and have made a mistake posting a thank you message then i apologise but it was not offensive to anyone

What's the difference between a thank you after a meet and a thank you after a munch or party? Why don't munch-goers just pm the organiser to say thank you? Why the need for discretion? No names were mentioned.

unless its a social, and you're saying thankyou generally and dont mind confirming to the site you were 'there', thankyou threads for anything else are best left to pm - because as has happened here, the other people who were there (and it wasnt a social it was a gang bang) then come along and confirm their attendenace too. Presumably, if they've joined the thread then they are quite happy to state they were there, so why is there a need for discretion? Isn't this a swingers site where people actually meet for sex? Are people ashamed to admit that they meet for sex rather than alcohol? Should people only state that they meet by innuendo as seems the case in many signatures? Surely discretion is only needed when people don't want to be associated with the event. This is not the case here.
no, its not against the AUP. But there IS the unwritten ' way things are done' here - the etiquette - and imo the thankyou's in this thread are being done for the wrong reason - verification (oooo she said the V word again
) A genuine thankyou where an event is not a social should be done in pm, imo.

Dark Fire.....you have a dig at Bandit for making a snipey remark which was wrong to do ....then you go and do one yourself......
i agree with North west couple(this is getting very scary)....if they want to put up a thank you thread...so what.....no names have been mentioned...so what has discretion got to do with it....there are other's who use this site that put up thank you threads after a meet and no one says that wrong.

I wonder why well known posters on here, who post very similar thank you posts for their parties, sometimes far more graphic than Steve Bing's, never encounter any problems.

As for verification, I remember a single fem telling us in open forum what a nice person another member was when they wanted to pass on half a bedroom in Blackpool. Would that count as verification?

We have to agree with bing_steve here we are always searching for the "elusive" genuine single guys and we get pissed off with guys who get in touch sing their own praises in 99 emails all the same content huge cock, very heavy cummer fuck all night bla bla bla and then dont show!
So to see a thread where guys have been invited "and turned up" can only be good for the site and as said before if the guys want to ad themselves to the post to confirm they are genuine, good for them.

For crying out loud. Thewhole point of the site and in particular the forum is to arrange meetings and promote open discussion. Bing has come on to pass thanks on to attendees of his meet. Big bloody deal. Good on him I say.
He even had the good grace to apologise if he had cause offence when in reality, it is Darkfire's cack-handed sarcasm which should be an issue. Darkfire - you weren't 'just simply suggesting' anything - you were being sarcastic and finnicky.
Just my opinion....I for one Mr Bing have no problem in you using the forum which by definition is a place of open discussion, if it's an easy way for you to collectively express thanks rather than send several separate messages.
And like Bing, I hasten to add I am not trying to cause offence either!

I would like to ask why does the site issue to one and all the locations of dogging sites? (see Dogging Sites) but in the dogging section if someone puts the location down in there post they get told off (naughty people) now i totally agree things like that should be in pvt messages not posted but lets set the rules, it cant be one rule for one and another rule for another!!! I wonder why dogging locations are full of boy racers and the boys in blue!

The forum is called Lets Meet Up, and is all about arranging meets. Look at the list, 1000's of messages arranging stuff all over the UK. The event takes place, and then nothing!

i posted on thewednesday thread asking for more details cos at first the post seemed a little tenuous... and didnt even receive a reply
i got a PM in the early evening from someone who was asking me if the meet was going ahead? me... like im the bloody expert!!!!!
i think it looked as though steve had been banned from the site too.....
the moral of the story is yet again...
you can miss the point of an origonal thread quite easily.... ive only just seen steve was planning it the week before and he gave out all the info i was looking for ...
genuine people are being thought of as being timewasters... he must have thouth i was a complete cock-knocker!
people are'nt even given the courtesey of a response to genuine replies.... ok i see steve was banned for a while and this could have been the reason..
and you cant please all of the people all of the time.....another thread turns into a war of words
