Still doesn't change my opinion though, especially as I notice someone has pointed out the *couple* in question had only been members for a few days. Hardly time to say hello, let alone be organising gang bangs rolleyes

Besides if established members can make mistakes as in not making fem to fem phone calls etc, they have no one to blame but themselves for being so naive :dry:
This site is full of guys pretending to be couples. It's shitty, but it happens. Get over yourself and move on.
After all, if you had made that phone call, you wouldn't have had a wasted journey. No one to blame but yourselves for *forgetting* one of your own rules confused

Please donot make excuses for these people. Civiliy costs nothing and the least they could have done is to inform people of teir deceision and if ot at least apologise. i guess some you did not travel 45 miles to get there and wait for an hour just to get back.

I don't think anyone's making excuses for them, just debating whether you should name and shame them. Even though they haven't replied, they may have a genuine reason for not turning up. As someone else has pointed out, maybe you could have taken more time to get to know them before travelling all that way - they had only joined a few days before posting that request for a meet.
