well we broke one of our main rules and didnt ask for a fem 2 fem phone check and look what happened we went to the pub and to be on the safe side we even went to the pub with the same name a few miles down the road just to make sure and you wasnt there , we know of 3 other guys that were invited to the meet were at the pub and they said they hadnt seen you either can you please let us all know what happen ?

lee-gingerjo, I don't think asking someone to respond publically is wrong, maybe there's a logical explanation but maybe they are just fakers taking the piss . It would be nice to know one way or the other so that others don't get caught out too.

thanks for the reply blue ( was thinking i might get a telling off for it) you maybe right there may be a very good reason for the no show but considering they have been on line since and picked up pm's and not bothered to answer it or to respond to this you can draw your own opinion as i have mine and its not a very good one.

Well did it occur to you that they may not have a very good opinion of you now you've publicly named them on this thread? Maybe that's why they didn't reply to your pm's.
Personally I can't see the point in this thread apart from naming and shaming.
Does it really matter to you that much that someone didn't turn up? You had other's that did arrive, so what's the big deal? Now you just make yourselves look all bitter and twisted IMO.
Better to move on than sit festering about one sad little incident isn't it?

that is true bev... but even a little common curtosy wouldn't go amiss.....
if it is true (and i do say if) that the people haven't sent any kind of apology, whether that is public or private, then that is bang out of order.. i know most of us have been let down but people have taken time out of their lives to meet these people and i can see why it would be frustrating.....

Just to play devil's advocate for a minute, if the people/person concerned had a genuine reason for not showing and then came on and read this thread would they want to pm thier reasons to any of you?
I would think they would be understandably concerned that their private messages would get pasted onto open forum and have holes picked in them.
You are probably all completely right and they are timewasters but this thread illustrates perfectly why the site doesn't usually allow naming and shaming and public lynchings!

Having''cold feet '' is perfectly understandable, but not telling people youve changed your mind isnt.
I think a thread like this will hopefuly urge others to be more honest , and stop other people from being messed about, but im sure if the couple came on to say they were sorry people would forgive them.

:) :) ssssssh.......on a serious note if they are not timewasters then i do believe they are shooting themselves in the foot but not apologising to anyone.... even if it just 10 words on the thread...
then again maybe that says more about the people who were suppose to meet these people (they were on for less the 2 days and have less than 5 posts) maybe people ought to get to know people better..........
