You either step on them or go around them, depending on whether you believe it's back luck, apparently. I couldn't find any pictures of them, but I will be brave and take my camera with me to find and photograph one.
Hardly seems worth it though rolleyes

I remember that if I stepped on a line in the pavement I'd get eaten by a bear round the next corner, according to my dad. Still trying to figure out what a 3 way grid actually is.

They're 3 or less manhole type covers.

Can't think of a better or correct name for them, but nowadays they're normally what phone and TV companies use to route cables underground. Have a look when you're out for them.... smile

Dam I must be realy unlucky I have to design them for a living..well that and everything that goes under them....I wonder if its against health and saftey???? :grin:

Err.... back to the original topic though....... Have you blokes ever heard of that superstition that it's bad luck to walk on them, or is it just the women?
