Fookin' 'ell Dammie, your mind must've been in Kazhakstan to mix up a Nutella jar with a Marmite!
What's the name of the telephone caller - I want to meet her!!

eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww........just remind me that you like marmite next time I ask you for a kiss
I've said it before so I will say it again....condensed milk on toast is what you need, thats Fussels condensed milk, (thanks again bev) failing that golden syrup.
on the general theme of not having your brain in gear, I have opened the fridge door to get the milk out and put the socks that I'm holding, back in it's place recently and then searched high and low for the socks that I knew I had brought downstairs with me.
I was recently making sandwiches for the boys to take to school and carefully put all the relevant bits and pieces in these stupid new lunchboxes and sent them off.
When I got home the eldest asked why he didnt have any lunch rolleyes I found the sarnie all made up in the bread bin redface
DOH
made myself a coffee this very morning and put the coffee jar in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard
My most common time of forgetfulness comes when making a brew. Cannot count the number of times I've poured cold water out of the kettle on to my tea bag thinking that I was sure I'd boiled the kettle. Or drank my tea only to find I'd left my tea bag in the mug.
Last week I put apple juice in my tea instead of milk confused
And I put my mobile in the fridge...............(but that was deliberate to stop me texting people with utter nonsense while under the influence of alcohol!!) lol
If there is a day in my house when I don't do something stupid AT LEAST once, then there is something wrong!! rolleyes

I have taken the TV remote out in the car thinking it was my phone.
Regularly used to call the wife my exes name redface :fuckinghell:
Tried to put some shoes in fridge
Driven home to our old house
But the worst one, the one that is totally unforgiveable, punishable by a stony silence, is forgetting to call my mum!
Does anyone ever do that thing where you set off to do something, like you're in the living room, set off for the kitchen and when you get there you've completely forgotten why you went there? dunno
No?
Damn, the Alzheimer's is getting worse loon
Now then, what was I just going to do?

Do you ever "wander off" in your mind ?
I know I do.
Sometimes nicely; sometimes to deal with, or even just avoid, the odd demon that surfaces from time to time.
As some of you know, I've only recently taken to entertaining at home.
Now - it's in my nature (frogs and scorpions) to try to give people what they want, so I have no problem with "getting things in" that I would not normally have in the house for myself. Normally, but not limited to, food and drink.
So - this morning, I decided that I'd have 3 or 4 rounds of toast with a cup of tea. Ok - I have a 4 slice toaster, so it was 4 slices. The first three being things I would normally have in.
1. Brittany Butter with Sea Salt Crystals.
2. A quite coarse french farmhouse pate.
3. Philidelphia soft cheese.
hmmmm. What should I try for slice 4 ?
As I'm spreading, waiting for the kettle, and thinking about trying something new; the phone rings. Pick up phone. Phone stops ringing. Conversation gets a little "flirty" - db's mind begins to wander.
Bearing in mind, it's a given that I don't multi-task too well.
Decide, in the middle of the flirt; to try Marmite (:shocksmile on slice four.
Spread what I just assume to be Marmite on the toast, mash the tea.
Made arrangements on the phone, finish call, settle outside for tea and toast.
Philly - mmmm. Soft, creamy.
Butter - mmm. Sweet, yet slighty salty.
Pate - mmm. Coarse, just rich enough, very tasty. (I hate bland food)
"Marmite" - eeeuuuw  I look at it after a horrible taste develops in my mouth. Now - I know the colour of marmite, and this just isn't it.
I go back to the cupboard, and sat next to the jar of "some-one elses" Marmite is . . . . . . .
a jar of Nutella, Hazelnut Chocolate Spread ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Girls ? ? ? How can you ? ? ? ?
Chocolate ??? On toast ???

And today ..................................................

Dangerous - Very dangerous
So, how did the cat like the biscuits?
(I hope you're not a dunker. That would've made a mess)
H.x
That made me laugh lol
