Age is a very personal thing and I think perhaps it differs widely from person to person more so than even our tastes in people.
Personally, I much prefer people around my age give or take 10 years or so (that sounds awfully vague and a tad desperate doesn't it?) but if I was going to play outside of that, I'd be 100% more likely to play with older people. Nothing against younger folk, I just think I would be more comfortable with older people.
The flip side of the coin, I can see why many are attracted to firm virile younger people, and I can also see why younger people are perhaps attracted to experienced, mature older folk.
Horses for courses, Zimmers for Sinners and all that sort of thing.
what a shame no special button on the keyboard that can be pressed to allow the older folk to wait for the younger generation to catch up and give thier opinion first hand on senior years and thier rejection by the next generation
I cant see what is wrong with politly expressing a preference.
I really struggle with the lower 20 somethings as my son is 21 and knowing the hang ups they have i dont really wanna get involved. It just doesnt turn me on.
Then the older 60 + guys well i have 2 friends who are older but they look after themselves and keep fit and cut their hair but ffs some take no care and that dont turn me on either
but then theres some 30 year olds i dont like but most i do and they turn me on
what the feck its appearence and personality that turn me on not age
god im rambling
Don’t let it throw you off course drummerman. I’ve spent some beautiful times with lovely ladies from this site with ages from 26 to 65 ( I love you all – you know who you are ) so just keep trying.
And it’s lovely to hear cherrytree and jaymar express appreciation for older guys – you both know where to find my inbox.
In terms of the original post:
I think it would depend on 'how' those lines were spoken, as to whether they would be considered rude or not.
If they weren't meant in a rude way - but just as a polite or jovial rejection. Then it should just be a case of moving on.
If they were said rudely - then no, there would (or should) be no reason or excuse for rudeness.
As for the discrimination aspect.
Everyone has their own tastes and personal guidelines, and so they should!
From our point of view it's purely about being comfortable and clicking with people. But then with 23 years between us - we can hardly be thought of as worrying about age...lol
(But then Sunshine Is older than my daughters, and that was a personal line for me, and I am younger than her father, which was of concern for Her)
That's my tuppence worth
