If you see a room entitled cpls only then it means that cpls only are to use that room..
Why do single guys find it compulsary to enter the room and then get abusive when removed???????
It doesnt take much effort to read and understand the room name.. mad :x :x
Steve, if I feel that someone is being abusive in a chat room, whom do I take it to?

I understand that fully Steve but it poses a problem for us that are a couple with single log ins confused
My profile makes it quite clear I'm a couple but I even feel uncomfortable enough to leave couples only rooms.
I know what you mean tho'
Never excuses abusive behaviour tho'!!!
wink
So, can I not go into a couples room ?
I have my own account.
Do we need to register a joint name ?
Thanx

Registering a joint name would be a wise move because if an op doesnt remove a single from a cpls room the the room creator can.

If you have on your profile that you are a cpl then your chatroom symbol should indicate that..
If it doesnt then speak to admin and ask if they can help sort the problem..

Take a screen shot and then contact anyone from admin(their names appear in brown in the forum) and they will be only too happy to help.

In that case you must speak to admin and I'm sure they will sort it for you.

The sigle fem remained only because I didnt see her.....
I was removing sigles from a cpls only room last night and males and females alike were removed.
Steve, will there be guidance notes posted at some point detailing chatroom etiquette and what is/isn't allowed? I think it would be useful guidance for all chatroom users. It could also include information on how to be a good chat-roomie (e.g. people who host rooms could help new users, log and report people who are being abusive etc). I'm happy to contribute ideas if it's of interest.
On occasion when I'm using the chat I post URLs for information based in the forums (e.g. the note about why people shouldn't post dogging locations). Other stuff like this would be useful and might encourage people to read the forums more regularly.
Something else that occurs to me is when a user hosts a room, shouldn't they have control over who stays and who goes? Of course it needs to be balanced with reasonable behaviour all round. For example, I sometimes create rooms and other people join who clearly have no interest or relevance to the room focus. I choose not to kick them unless they are being a pain in the proverbial.
I'd also like to know in advance what's acceptable or not so that I don't unintentionally cross any line, rather than being scolded after the fact.
Just after some clarification on how this should all work, thanks biggrin

I think a sticky out lining chatroom does and donts would be a great idea...
I will speak to the team and see what can be sorted....
Although I am sure the room rules are around somewhere and really should be read by the new folk to chat..
http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/chatroom/user-rules.html
If you create a room then you have no control over who stays and who goes...
All we ask is that you only eject those who contravine the AUP of the site......Abuse......Posting of email addresses, phone numbers etc etc............
Non SH url's are not allowed in any room.....Any url pointing to any part of this site is just fine and dandy :D

Im glad somebody else has brought this up seen as I seem to just be getting IGNORED when i quieried this. I, like yourself sometimes open rooms. When i open my room i prefare that blokes don't masterbate on cam,(i think there is enough rooms doingthis without adding to it) inwhich if anybody does then i will ask them to stop. Its not my thing... so i prefare to open a room where peoole can go who just wanna chat and not hear any vulgar remarks... Is that wrong??? If they continue to do so, i will ask again... If they still continue to or get abusive, then they go... I have only done this once or twice.
So......On saturday nite i had a very indept conversation with 1 of the room ops where i was told that when u open a room you do not have the right to kick anybody, UNLESS they are being very abusive. Ok fair deal. smile
But then i was told by another room op that if you open a room you can kick who ever for what ever reason, as its your room confused
Confused....?? Me too rolleyes
As a cpl of ops and 1 of admin will know from my emails yesterday, that i had an inncident in 1 of the room where i was kicked out for saying....
"Could you not whisper me plz and chat in the room"...
Now i don't in anyway find that abusive and i was lead to believe that a whisper was around the same as being pm'd uninvited??? maybe im wrong. I have asked for a cop of the chatlog from the time and the room i was in, but have not heard anything.
Now, befroe you all start jumping on my back.... I am not writing this to get at any ops but i think this is something that needs clearing up and seen as the people i have mailed to try and get answers have not got back to me.... Maybe you could shed a bit of light of which way we are to turn
Thanks biggrin

As I said to you yesterday...
I dont consider wanking on cam to be in contravention of any site rules dunno
To be perfectly blunt if you dont like it then dont watch it....
Nobody HAS to watch any cam..

Again......If any chatter contravines the site AUP or the chatroom rules then you have the authority to remove them from the room..

I considered those that kicked you from their room to be wrong and therefore I spoke to them and told them that which they seemed to understand..0
I cant speak for admin and therefore cannot say why they havent responded to any emails/pm's that you have sent but can say they are VERY busy at the moment so please be patient.

Well i'm with you on this one Lilmiss.
If you've a kick button, use it.
The AUP has given us a lovely phrase..."If it's unfriendly, you're not welcome"
Whispering and camming when asked not to seems pretty unfriendly to me. There are ample rooms to whip your knob out in or pester people in and it's nice to find a room without such hassles.
As Sean said recently.....Respect is a bit thin on the ground..!
If a room said "no Welsh" then you're asking for trouble. But "no cams" is very legitimate.

Not when you consider that its a cam based chat facility.

Well we must have missed the bit about obligatory cams, we thought it was flash based. Sounds like the chatroom rules need re-writing to scrap the "uninvited PM's are bad" clause and add a new one "objecting to the use of cams is forbidden."
Wonder if this is how the Third Reich started..?
