I'm interested in your different experiences on the scene. categories include dogging, couples swinging, group, fetish parties etc etc.

I thought after a couple of weeks away from this joint things might change a little... only the names of the contributors seem to vary.
A book is it?
So far this year we've had two T.V. progs, a radio interview, three films and a magazine article that we've all been asked to 'contribute' towards...
Can't you lot get out and do some shagging yourselves and leave us alone? Being someone who knows what it's like spending hour upon hour locked in an attic suffering the dreaded 'block'... (why so you think I spend so much time here?)... I can tell you that casual sex is the best antidote to a lack of inspiration - something which the rest of the human race classes as bone idleness .
In a nutshell.... no, I don't want someone who can spell better than me to make money out of my hard screwing. I'm much rather turn my experiences into an ep of Holby.

This year has seen an explosion in interest in swinging... but if you're a writer of any experience you'll also realise that there has been an explosion in writers writing about swinging. So get to the back of the queue, mate. I hear the BBC's New Writing Initiative gets 9 dramas on the subject everyday.
And here's a tip from a commissioned writer. Write from the heart and not to 'market forces'.

Oh, so it's "research" now is it? Do you have ethical approval from any institution (such as a university) to conduct such sensitive research? I think not, but I hope you do. If you really are a researcher in this field you will know that there is some research on the topic already, what you propose to write is nothing new. I know there isn't much money in this sort of thing, but there are also things like ethical standards, academic integrity, and professional politeness to consider. If you consider that a self-inflated opinion, you have obviously never considered any of the above, and I suggest you either, a. go through the proper channels to conduct your research, b. go elsewhere to do your "research", or c. drop the idea totally and buy a PS2 to amuse yourself.

Remember though - newbies like myself who maybe hadn't found forums like this still need a route into it. If you were curious but didn't really know anything a quiet read would suit some people a little nervous of where to start - it does, like all things, take all sorts.
Whats important is that if a book is written is that it's honest and gives a genuine view of why people do it and the ground rules in the "community". It might help avoid some of the misconceptions some people have !
I'd hate to pick up a book to learn more but be thought of as a "looser".

I don't think a book will help to correct wrong impressions.
Reasonable people already know the basic rules of society, those don't seem to change much.
You don't need a book to tell you that groping someones crotch is bad behaviour, a smack in the mouth makes more impression than the written word.

Thanks Jags - I'm just having a massive hit of the winter-blues this afternoon - radiators playing up making for a cold house, feeling very single and dumn stuff like that - I just felt really silly at my two posts today both seemingly missing the mark.
