As a bearded newbie I have read his thread with interest. I first grew a beard some 10 years ago at the request of my then new wife.
I always understood that it was because she fancied men with beards, javascript:emoticon('rolleyes') but, having read the thread maybe it was a cunning ruse to make me (even more) unattractive to the female sex. hmmm. This needs thinking about.

Dave Grohl is very sexy and I'll forgive him his facial hair in a second. Generally though, any stubble apart from my hubby's gives me such an itchy face I'd rather forego the experience.
