Did you see the article in the newspaper recently that detailed how someone had worked out how to get the gold off the bus before it fell into the ravine? Now that's a person with too much time on their hands rolleyes

and the Ending of "field of dream" when the dad and son are playing baseball......that actually made me cry!!!

I almost listed that one too Fabio but was embarrassed to admit it I was also tempted to list but didn't... Pay it forwards .....for the very same reason.
Mrs G I recall hearing that they had found a solution to the Italian conundrum but have no idea what it was did they announce it? Oh but hang on it could be such a let down  Some things ar best left as they were.
For me it's got to be Sixth Sense, especially as I couldn't work it out, which drove me mad, but it was sooooooooo well crafted.
Definitely one of the best.

When hubby watched it he missed the first few minutes. As soon as I worked it out I realised he'd missed the key moment and I kept him in suspenders for about an hour til he sussed it lol I think he's just about forgiven me now.
We like "28 days later", where you get 2 alternative endings, happy and sad.
I agree with lp, Carrie
my long term memory is crap... that is what allows me to have a read books repeatedly and watch films more that once.. So, I am unable to remember the endings of films and books.
Anyhoo so, the film that I remember recently that had me gulping and snorting like a kid was Milk with Sean Penn. It has to get an Oscar or something. I bawled for ages in the cinema, in fact worlass had to get me some tissue as I didn't go in prepared and 'there is no way I can leave like this'.
magic film.
Soppy bint that I am-
"An officer and a gentleman"!! when Richard Gere strides into the paper factory and sweeps Deborah Winger off her feet and carries her out!!

Silent Running was good ...but Dr Strangelove has a great ending, rumour has it, nobody told Rip Torn that the film was a spoof lol

Casablanca
A Matter of Life and Death
Armageddon
Kung Fu Panda biggrin
Horny Housewives 3 blast
For modern day films it has to be the ending to 7 Pounds its so thought provoking and sad, and for a classic film it has to be Jimmy Cagney in White Heat, his performance was amazing too, oh and Watership Down too, there is so many to go at when you think about it!!!!
The ending of Far North from the recent films I have seen
I was having a nose on HMV today and there are quite a few good dvd deals on there, including No country for old men and Requiem for a Dream for £4, Flags of our fathers/Letters from Iwo Jima, The Warriors, Daywatch/Nightwatch and This is England for £5
all of these i can highly recommend for a good evenings viewing wink
I'm off to do some shopping
Day/Nightwatch we mentioned before, but I'll echo 'a good view'!!
I saw This is England on tv recently, also a very good film.
No Country for Old Men was a wonderful film, completely engrossing... that was a cinema film for me, another rarity.
Looking up the others as we speak

I forgot to mention The Orphanage (L'Orphange) by Pans Labyrinth and Hellboy director Guillermo Del Toro, bloody excellent thriller/horror £6, but worth it
A difficult one ; but right now I reckon " V For Vendetta", also, Lindsay Anderson's "If".
xxx
Now then, Imnot going to mention the end, but this film has caught me completely by suprise for many reasons
You may see it advertised at the moment: The Escapist

a British film... a prison job.
The ending is indeed a bit of a suprise, and the whole film has a brilliant atmosphere to it... underplayed, yet still exciting.
and... but don't tell anyone (I'm blaming the recent full moon) it had me sobbing here... I wont go into why.
what I will say though is: Please watch this film.
It's wonderfull.
