I knew which one the washer bottle was in the old car cos it was big, white and had a label saying "Water"
This one, I really do not have an idea cos I havn't looked yet redface
WBB, you should be very careful as I haven't found out the gas to clutch ratio properly yet either :scared:
The rest of you are wondering how the hell I passed my test now aren't you! lol

Oil filler has "OIL" on the cap. Beware, some cars may have "710" on it......
Gas : Clutch ratio - If anything like my neighbour's driving, the ratio is "Gas 1 : 0 Clutch"....

"710" ???? confused :? :? :? What on earth?
;)
And my naviagation got me all the way over the pennines and back without trouble, although I did forget to fill it up with petrol before heading home and so the warning light came on with 23 miles to go to the next service station!
Panic ensued and 55mph, with enraged truck drivers over taking me, I managed to fill it up before I broke down and had to phone for help! redface
lol A good day trip out! biggrin

Well after the small saga of my dying VW polo and the bike on the bus drama welcome to the warning that I am now mobile again!

So, eventually, I am now the proud owner of a (nearly) new car.
BEWARE ALL ROAD USERS!
I'M BACK! lol

That's good to hear, Gem, what an entertaining post (so I cut it evil ). It's good to hear you're back on the road - I'll beveeeeery careful crossing roads when I'm in the Manchester area.

You can read a map? Are you sure thats a good idea while driving over mountains :P
and never mind gem, at least you can do more than 55mph smile
had to change my car at the start of the year to fit my finances, now its a Fiat Panda with a 769cc engine. Cheap to run but 65mph with a tail wind, downhill and only if I get out and push

Me thinks a quick course on maintainence would not go amiss.
NO not just cleaning the interior mirror so you can admire yourself whilst driving.
 bolt
Read the fckin manual :small-print:

Now I was reraliably imformed by the ex that the internal mirror was for checking make up (usually when I am trying to reverse), external mirrors are for adjusting so as to see the kids sitting in the back seats, failing that, they are ideal for setting up so you get a good side view while brushing hair and applying blusher
Judy, that is soooo true. The other car was so well trained on getting to party central that poor Neil was only mildly scared for his life rather than terrified out of his tree shouting "it's the wrong way" or even asking, "do you even know where you are?" lol

Gem, you need Phil mitchell off Eastenders.... All he had to do was lift the bonnet and show it a spanner and it was sorted mate, every time! Amazing mechanic he was..... Not.

Have you seen that programme "Ulitmate Force" ? It has Gracie (the female firefighter) in it from London's burning and the guy who played Phil MItchell. Mmmmm

Tell you what I don't watch that programme for it's content or plot! redface
