PL is quite correct here.
There is only two facts that I am aware of here. Yes, a photo was sent and yes she cancelled.
I also agree that anything else is an assumption.
However, what has become apparent from this thread is would someone meet someone based purely upon a photograph. It seems that we are divided on this.
My thoughts are it depends on whether we are talking about a virtual or real world. If a guy replies to an add on here, he has to bear in mind that the lady has probably received hundreds of replies, so, how does she cut the list down. Maybe by picture first, then the words afterwards?
In the real world, you have an opportunity for immediate conversation, which could swing the balance.
As for your chat up line PL, absolutely, any future ladies that I hope to attract, that question is now on the top of the list, unless of course I find that it doesn’t work!!
I dont give a toss what her reasons were all I want to know is did Mano do the garden and did you dig up anything interesting???
:giggle:
I am sorry tweeky, it is not a factual statement that the photo was the sole cause that the date was cancelled - it is indeed two factual statements:
1 - a photo was sent
2 - she cancelled
I just went by the original post which to me quite clearly reads she copped out after seeing the photo and I am not a big beliver in co-incidence
In this case the rules of a blind date had not been followed. As Manolishi's friend had set this up, it was a traditional blind date where each party goes by a description of the other or is shown a photo by the arranger before they agree to go on the blind date.
This women had accepted the blind date but then requested a photo from Manolishi, so she broke the traditional blind date rule.
If Manolishi's friend had not arranged this and it was an 'Internet dating' blind date, then of course she was entitled to a pic of Manolishi first, she then had a choice whether to accept the blind date or not.
So in conlcusion this 'women' was out of order!
A clear case of breach of contract. ;)
