Looks like some enjoyed the match.
Sorry to say but couls see it coming.
There is one major flaw with English football, you fail to give any credit or respect to the opposition. Croatia played well and are a good side, playing with passion. England lacked passion and tend to play as individuals not as a team.
Stop blaming the managers and look at the players they frequently flatter to deceive. Your media over hypes them as great when quite clearly some are good players, but few if any are truly 'world class'.
He's Welsh I hear you cry what does he know?
Well we're never going to win a major tournament with the lack of depth we have. Yes the under 21s did beat France 4-2 recently but we know we would be lucky to qualify for a major tournament, let alone win it.
Many say 'oh anti-english sentiment' of the Scots and Welsh this isn't down to geography for me I'm not sorry you've lost. BUT, this is mainly down to not being able to stand the hype such as in 2001 when you scraped past Greece then suddenly next headline read: it was your year for the world cup.
In Summary: you have some good players who play well for their clubs but fail to motivate themselves for internationals and play as individuals.
DISCUSS!
ooooh that was my longest post by miles.
I felt a bit sorry for England last night.....
.....then I read some of the bitchy comments from our southern cousins ( I'm a Jock ) on the matching "Bye Bye Scotland thread" now I don't feel a damn thing for you.
Don't insult the rest of the UK then complain when we don't support you because of it.
You lost because you were so desperate for an 'English' manager you hired the only guy stupid/mad/gullible enough to take the job.
We didn't celebrate your defeat last night. We just shrugged our shoulders and said "oh well".
When even the Scots can't be bothered to watch your games and cheer for the opposition there is something seriously wrong with your game.

Yup! Sadly this just made a bad situation worse.
… and this is the result.
I'm looking forward to the "home internationals".... biggrin

someone was telling me yesterday England losing will have a terrible affect on the economy? confused

In the press this morning they say the economy will lose in lost sales.
On the bright side this means that there will be less CO2 pumped into the air to producing everything we do not need with 'ENGLAND 2008' all over it.
We could still save the planet!
