If a couple are on here and play as a couple but then one person decides to play alone without telling or discussing it with their partner is it classed as cheating?

If it goes outside of the groundrules set within the relationship, or one/both in the relationship considers it deceit, then yes, it is cheating.
It doesn't make sense to think that the police and sh admin are going to work together to help solve what would normally be termed 'misadventure', as that is how its likely to be seen.
if swinging is likely to have such a devastating effect on your lives then its time to stop doing it.

If drugs played a part in it why could it not happen you you!
It was not swinging that caused the problem when we had rules to play together

There was no mention of drugs in the initial post, either way it is pretty bad if she was spiked irrespective of the circumstances.
That said, surely it must have been in your contemplation that she would be engaging in sexual activity with another man - if that was not the case then why was she in a hotel with him.
I don't claim to be an expert in any form of sex therapy, but the transition from SSRIs to normality via the route of slowly reintroducing swinging of some description back into your lives, is surely open to criticism.

I am with Duncan on this.

And I'm with Duncan and HimandHer. And it depends on your definition of 'overpowered' really - does she mean she was just caught up in the situation, or physically overpowered? She clearly went willingly to his room. If she'd been drugged, someone would have noticed, surely?

some drugs just have the apparent outward appearance of someone being totally blitzed on booze and it can be seen as mr helping mrs upstairs to sleep it off not realizing that drugs are involved. my question is why is there a need for this type of 'recreational' drug use within swinging as have heard its been used at clubs but i aslo cannt see a great need for poppers and an over indulgence in alcohol or other recreational drug use within swinging either but thats just how i feel and does not stop me having a few drinks to chill at a club or getting wasted at a social but while play is on the cards i restrain myself most of the time and would hope that if it became clear i had had too many that people around me would look out for my best interests and not take advantage.. my sympathies go out to anyone taken advantage of cos my opinion is verging on if drugs were used as informed consent can not be given in much the same way as someone who is passed out through drinking too much etc.
