Hello forum. I joined yesterday (single female), I even paid the one month thing for emails. Ive read the HELP section, and do ofcourse have a firewall, but not Zone Alarm. I cant see my own gallery or THE MAIN gallery. I sometimes can see images on people's profiles but when I click further, I'd expect to be able to see something, because I've paid a fee. But nothing.
What I'd like to know is if the gallery or a picture, does it appear in a new pop up window or in the same window you have up? Then I can try and see where the problem is.

Do pictures appear in pop up windows?
Can anybody actually SEE the one picture I have up? Or should I wait another 24 hours until it appears? And how do I put up a little picture under my Forum name? Will it appear automatically once the other picture I uploaded last night has been approved? It was a rear shot spread on a bed and black&white, so Ithink it wouldbe categorised 'page 3'.. not too explicit.. x

Yep I can see the pic you have on your profile.........however why you can't see others i'm flumaxed as I've never had the problem. The usual advice is disable pop up blocker change firewall settings etc...........

Thank you you two! :O) I'm a little worried about this. I'll check my firewall, and see why it might be blocking the images and galler bit. I'm concenred obviously for the fact I PAID a one month fee.. Can I just double check that the picture u see in my profile is the same one on my avatar? I just replied to someone who mailed me last night, and on replying I saw that they had added 2 JPGs, but i fact i never saw them inside the mail. Well, I'm not sure for certain, but when the quotation of their mail came up, it included 2 JPEG attachments. I'm waiting for their reply. Thing is, no point cancelling my one month fee, becasue one month has been paid for. Unless I get a refund for un-used days? God I hate being a newbie. I love forums - except for the newbie phase.. sigh...

Your profile pic is similar to your avatar but not the same (colour version, facing more the right than the left).
As for seeing pics, there have been a few posts about this and it has always come down to your firewall settings. I am NOT a techy, so wont even try to answer how to do this, but will have a search for the other threads

We have had this same problem. We can see avatars and the small pics in the ads but cant see the pifs in profiles or galleries. We have asked the same question and was given the same answer, its your fire wall. We still cant see the pics so we have just given up. Do you have McAffee as you firewall by any chance?

Okay.. something's not right. Because I didnt put up a colour picture. It's exactly the same one as my avatar. No different. Do I alert the police* or the CONTACT section of the site???

Just because you've paid a fee, doesn't mean you should expect to see everyone's pictures. We are allowed to have private galleries, so that we can choose who sees our pictures.
Now I cant see my own advert. It's missing. Okay. I'm a little broken somewhere. I reaslie it will be sorted once th McAfee thing is sorted, but I dont know how to do it. Atleast one positive is that the McAfee is working, as it should be.. I'm off to open wine (nice half price thing from SE Oz.. :O)

The "August 2006" is right! Yes! But it wasn't B&W.
Also, you are right about private pictures yes, I totally understand. But in the main gallery, It says viewing 1-25 of 1432 pictures or somethign to that effect, but nothing appears.. Think i'm sounding desperate and shallow here.. and the fact is I'm not a picture collector. But it helps to get an idea. Thanks for pointing that out

If you look to the right of the screen under the user menu you should see a flashing red message telling you that you have a message. I have sent you a message and attached your profile picture so you can see what we can see.
U didnt misunderstand, freckledbird, you quite rightly pointed out that you dont get anything free in life, even if you pay for it, LOL.. I like the idea of the Private Gallery. sokay.. well, I shall fix this thing, and be back when it's sorted. Thanks everyone.
PS to earlier post: Not sure what Ctl and Alt will do, but I did press them, and nothing happens. I do know that Ctrl + W will close the window you're viewing, and also Alt +F4.. so don't try this! :O) x

A HUGE massive apology for everyone.
I uploaded adn joined this site very late last night, very tired and late. I thought I'd uploaded the b&w avatar u saw earlier, but at the last second chose the colour shot as you see as my avatar NOW. I'm sorry for getting paranoid about the picture. I had to look back into my folder to jog my memory. Its okay, what u see is what I uploaded last night. Still doesnt solve the firewall prob. I'll sort it.

I'm never knowingly rude, just knowingly ignorant and I was more than happy to help where I could. It was that or continue to ponder over the fact that as usual, I had one 'odd sock' come out of the washing machine, nothing unusual in that we all do it, but I did get to wondering if the other one, which I've yet to find, counted as another 'odd sock' making two 'odd socks' or if my knowing that they were in fact two 'odd socks' made them a pair and therefore the single sock that came out of the machine was actually not an 'odd sock' but part of a pair.
....I tell ya when you think like me it really fucks with your brain.
