Pardon me for being a little pedantic here but doesn't your profile say you're with someone? That could be why you're not getting much response as a lot of ladies don't want to meet attached guys. Just a thought dunno

to be fair....Mark..you do seem to have taken the information on board and on the chin. I have just looked..don't really seem to be any socials in near future up in your neck of the woods.....so suggest maybe a trip into chat and find a chat room with locals in. All good things come to those that wait !!

I have read through the posts, bit lost when it came to the cheek stuff but sure I will catch on! AS for the lady being pedantic I don't think you are. Just observant! I altered my profile after I started this piffle and am more comfortable with the way it is now, I much prefer the forum to howling through the rest of the site trying to be someone I'm not. Hello back to every one who said hello!!

The first meet I had I was really really nervous. Luckily he was a great guy and we had fun. Subsequent meets were less nerve-wracking.
The first Munch I went to, I bricked it. But again it was fun and since then I love them.
Ditto club visits.
Just gotta bite that first bullet! wink

I still get nervous now but it's more of a sexual tension/expectation of naughtyness type nervous as opposed to an 'omg what am I doing, what might happen?' type nervous.. if that makes sense confused

It makes perfect sense, I get anxious about being introduced to new ppl generally so should the day ever arrive when I go to meet some one for a sexual encounter I imagine that anxiety will go off the richter scale!!!

Right.... so back to your question... do single straight guys have a place.... hell yeah!!!! I have been here for 5 years.....
The site does work, the site gives you all the tools to make it work, the key is to make it work for you...
people get sick of what i am about to say but in swinging it is so true.... "you do get out, what you put in"....
For example... if your ad is only 3 lines long innocent

then how do you expect it to stand out from all the other thousands of adverts..... do you give people a reason to say "my god yes I must meet that person"
you ad is in "men seeking women".... there are shed loads more men than women here so they can be as choosey as they want.....
look at your own ad, have a look at some of the others... if yours doesn't stand out, then make it stand out....
use the ads to your advantage.......
have you been into the chatrooms..... for example you are scottish.... there is normally a scottish chatroom on server 1... and think of it like a pub, where it takes time to get known....
Go to socials... there is always stuff going on... go to clubs... there are a few up there now..
Bascially what I am say is that it is going to take more than 48 hrs..... as Bioke said... if you are expecting "quick shag" then you are very likely to be disappointed
don't be impatient, don't expect peoples knickers to fall at the drop of a hat,
It does work.... for those people who put the effort in, but you have to be proactive about it!!!

I will be going solo with regards to anything I may or may not do on this site, my conscience felt better by saying im with someone. How my being with someone is interpreted is entirely up to the individual,what I will say is im divorced i live alone and im with someone, but on here im single. M

thats cool, and there arnt any obvious lies in the profile, but when im talking to someone and they say they are single i expect just that, for them to be single.
as long as you recognise that there may be some people with that same view, and not wanna play based on that or feel the wool has been pulled over their eyes than i guess its cool.

I used this site back in the day when it was free, I was married then(if the lady I met at colinton services is still on here my lip still has a scar).I presented myself as single and so every time I spoke to anyone I was lying to them and myself, not to mention the feelings that arose from being a cheating scumbag.
Now a few years on and arguably a few years wiser I am here again, the relationship I have with my someone is not anywhere near the depth of a marriage but I for my own peace of mind have put that i am with someone because when time allows i am, maybe I should have left it as divorced that is also true, but I choose not to.
