I think that you are wrong here - in that if you posted about Eastenders or Trisha every episode they would just get ignored. If you posted about specific things within these programmes when appropriate then you would get interested parties to respond.
Whilst football might not be to everyones taste and I can understand that, the big competions where England are involved are only every two years. So, it's fair that people get excited and wish to pass opinions and comments on England.

This one where I am with BiFem, at least in not liking, well ok hating footy... but I see the good side:
:) I can go shopping when the games on the empty towns
I can take the kids to the theme parks and get on all the rides
It's nice to escape the 'real' news by listening to the latest football hype, at least for a while as the world is in such a state
and finally Mrs TnH and I can visit some quieter parkland and not get caught for once...
