Exercise junkies...

Quote by brucie
am i the only one that actually enjoys the day after pain of a good workout. where you know youve taken your body to its limit and all you need is a good stretch.
which, if stopping being a whinging shiela is not an option, is what you should be doing. will be tough on your own so, and thats where gym partners are worth their weight in gold, get someone to properly stretch you. you will feel amazing after.

I enjoy the day after reminders... no pain no gain and all that but if you'd actually bothered to read the whole thread you'd know (a) that this isn't just day after pain and (b) that I have a personal trainer who does all the stretching malarky.
Now... how about you run along?!
L Glutamine. Before and after training and bed, I couldn't train without it.

you feeling any better yet dg

Well I managed to walk halfway to work this morning but my leg was a bit twingey(sp) so I got on the bus. Arms are better... I can now wash my hair with both hands!! I'm more pissed off that I've just not been able to do any exercise this week. It kinda defeats the purpose. However, I've just booked a pilates class for Sunday morning, apparently that's a big help on getting your muscles sorted out!
Thank you for asking though! kiss
My right arm always aches when it's the wrong time of the month for Shaz lol

You volunteer to do the ironing?
Thought for a minute there Ian that you were outing yourself as a closet exercise junkie.

i began running 2 years ago and have slowly built up the stamina and fitness to have done a half marathon. But I am not a dedicated athlete so my progress and performance is irregular. But it was cheap to do and the only thing you really need and which can't be bought is the will to do it.

Running isn't suitable for a lot of people. And shouldn't be attempted by a small number of people.
Anyone with a cup size more than a C either needs a serious sports support bra or shouldn't run. Unless they want to be able to tuck them in their jeans in a few years. LOL
That's apart from potential damage to knees and ankles simply due to the impact of the run, not even doing anything untowards.
For a lot of people water-based sports, or low impact activities are much more suitable. Sex for instance - excellent excercise. biggrin

Due to the fact that my ever expanding tits are now at an F cup... running is not for me! lol
