Traditional tunes - my 2 faves are A Coventry Carol and Celine Dion's version of Oh Holy Night
Oldies - Jim Reeves doing Silver Bells and Eartha Kitt singing Santa Baby
Pop - has to be Slade for the top one and Maria 'why sing one note when 27 will do' Carey's All I want for Christmas is you for some sloppy stuff
Funny - it has to be Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson's Hey Santa Claus You C**t'! Class!![]()
Please don't let on I've listed Celine Dion and Maria Carey amongst my faves or my cred will be shot to pieces
I absolutely adore this song and have got about 20 versions of it, from Pavarotti to Eric Cartman. Did you know Mariah Carey did a version as well? Fantastic.
Not particulary festive, but Jonah Louie's "Stop the Cavalry" is always very poignant to me at Xmas. I love the 50's/60's Xmas songs - Dean Martin, Andy Williams etc - real honey-dripping stuff!
