Yes Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky both composed pieces called Troika. Hnowever, Tchaikovsky's is a piano piece from a series of pieces called 'The Seasons'.
Prokofiev's is from the Lt Kije Suite and refers to a sled drawn by three horses (hence troika or threesome). It also sometimes known as 'sleighride'.

There is a point to this in that the piece by Prokofiev was used as the basis for "I believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake (of Emerson Lake and Palmer fame) - one of my favourite Christmas songs.
Glad to see Fairytale of New York getting so many votes as it manages to be festive without being schmalzy.
