Call it an early chrissie pressie
Get yourself off man!! lol
Go if you can.
And come back and tell us all about it. lol
If you have the opportunity and the funds and the 'want' and then you don't go, you'll be forever saying 'I wish I had been there' rather than 'I was there when England won the World Cup again!!!' (Something a football supporter could never say!)
Maybe someone with travel knowledge might help you get a cheaper fare? Fingers crossed! lol
Mal
wink
Hire a light twin engined aircraft/Bizjet between 8 of you. Assuming £1000/hour and 2 hours hire to get to one of the GA airfields outside of Paris this might run out at about £250 per person!
And so do it in style!
It might be cheaper than you think!
Hello all
I flew to Sydney for the last one, never unpacked my bags, was there for 48 hours and slept on the Sydney Harbour ferry all night cos we couldnt get accomodation?
The atmosphere was amazing, the whole place was electric.
GO!!

Allez!!!! and hope that the South Africans have re-written the script from the last time they met each other on the pitch!!
These words were typed from under deep cover and camouflage whilst the locals wander around the house with shotguns. Sometimes...it isn't a good idea to be an Englishman living in France.... bolt
Just don't tell them were we are....

The down side is I spend all week covered in rubble/dust/bonfire smoke. The good bit is we have an almost empty car on returning......... and the local supermarche do a lovely 3litre box of Merlot for a fiver! :bounce:

ok I'm now thinking of driving and taking passengers to share costs anyone else fancy going??
Check the ferry crossings hun. We were tied to going with speedferries- who were almost fully booked by this time last week. Thats likely to be indicative of the other ferries & the tunnel too.
However, I've never known the conventional ferries to have no space at all.
