did I buggery, i squawked the place down till one of the kids came and did it.....
frogs....nasty, slimy, yukky, shifty eyed, shudder making little devils!
so....love em or hate em....and why are there so many of them in places they shouldnt be?

I used to collect frogs when I was little.
Not real ones of course, but I had loads of little model ones.
Anyway, eventually I got bored and picked most of the eyes off them and unceremoniously dumped them in the bin... strangely pleasurable!

Am I missing something here? Surely the frog would have made a nice little meal for the snakes? :dunno:
Or maybe it could have just ordered a take away. lol
noooooooooooooo we only have mouse/chick eating snakes.
I dont mind feeding those to the snakes...but wouldnt ever pick up a frog to feed it.....besides id have to kill it first cos its generally frowned upon to feed live foods!

I love frogs, wiley, patient creatures and I find them fascinating, especially in terms of what they eat and how they catch their prey lol
They are not picky eaters. Smaller frogs usually eat insects such as flies, spiders, bugs and worms and other less desirable critters. The bigger ones will go for vermin such as rats and mice and they will also eat birds. Most frogs like their food alive. They do not eat anything that is dead. No fun in that for our frog friends biggrin
Frogs do not have to go around chasing their prey. They are patient creatures and so they can sit motionless and watch and wait for their intended prey to come close enough and then move in for the kill. They just flick out their sticky tongue to grab the poor unwitting creature and devour it whilst it is still squirming and wriggling :D

And some of the prey go from pond to pond, but there are still frogs waiting for them, the prey sometimes makes the mistake of thinking the frog hasn't seen them.
You are right, frogs can be patient, and wily.

I might have sent the kids out to do that once or twice redface It's not pretty in the morning though!!
Mind you, it's not too pretty when those wily little frogs who think they're so smart misjudge the oncoming traffic and get splatted onto the road either lol wink
