I like it. Its good for a giggle and when I joined was somewhere I felt comfortable to post quite quickly.
well you can talk bollox to your hearts content in there. I would say having it just once a week as a thread is good though
The reason post counts matter is that - well, I don't know if everyone does this, but I tend to take people more seriously, read threads they've started or replied to, etc if they have a bar beside their name. Of course, most of them are names I recognise - to genuinely get your post count that high, you've got to be someone that everyone sees around anyway! But it can be deceptive when someone has a high post count, you sort of think 'oh, well he must have been around for ages so I shouldn't take offense / offer advice / ask him what the fluck he's on about' - and actually it can turn out that they've just posted 1000 one-liners in the GFZ or the word association thread or something.
I know it's not THAT important, because really people earn their place here by the quality and not the quantity of what they post. And (getting to the point!) I always liked the GFZ - I haven't been around here much lately so haven't been to one for ages, but I'll pop in this afternoon if it's open!

I like the GFZ cause I can talk complete and utter bollox (I know, nothing new there then) but got to agree, weekends are enough. I know that some of the forum members have opened a couple of rooms in the Chat room so if we really want to have a mid week bar, the chat room might be the place to go. At least that way, it isnt cluttering the forums and people dont have to read if they dont want.
Yep, agree with HLB damn good post Pete and not a lot I would argue with.
My thoughts on these type of threads and the GFZ are well known, can't abide em, but I can see that folk get a bit of fun out of them, hence I don't even bother having a peek through the crack in the door.
