I'd love to watch Purple Rain on the big screen - *swoons* at the thought of a ginormous Prince! I'd like to watch it in a really super-duper sound system screen too. Aaahhhh, bliss!
Before brucie-the-forum-Scorcese quibbles about lack of cinematic qualities, I would also like to see lots of poncey filmy films too... having also studied Film. cool
But if I was going to hire a cinema for the day, it'd be Purple Rain followed by The Godfather Trilogy. Sod cinematic qualities... it's sometimes about loving the film!

why part 3???
Trilogy... as in all three, not just part three.
i know, but why bother with 3, it was an afterthought. it was awful. best forgotten.
Andy Garcia; devo spiegare quello?
I have an eclecric few fave films... apocolyse now....the deer hunter.....dirty dancing...green mile ...snatch...fight club....think my mood at the time chooses the genre of film i want to watch.....
This said ...not a chick flick fan...but I was never girlie or a romantic lol( maybe excluding dirty dancing from that....but love most Patrick Swayze fimls lol).
