How do you get your heads around getting older?

Resignation mostly...
Resignation to not having so many meets.
Resignation to not seeming as attractive anymore.
Resignation when people 10 years younger than you look at you, and, you can see it in their eyes, they're saying to themselves "You have gotto be kidding!"
On the other hand, there's a lot of positive stuff about getting older!
You know what you don't want anymore.
You know what you're not going to get anymore.
You're a lot wiser all around.

Not always the case; there's someone on here who's 15 years older than I am, and I look at him and think verynaughty thoughts

Well, yes, everyone has their good days. I'm not saying it happens all the time! But we're resigned when it does happen.
As it happens, last year we became verygood friends with someone who was 25 years younger than me! innocent
As you get older, you learn to take the rough with the smooth...
cool
Think it makes me focus on things I want to personally achieve but to be honest we all cope in different ways. I am more interested in me liking myself than worrying if I look as good as when I was 25. I dont look anywhere near as good but I am certainly not going to cry about that as apart from going under the knife its not going to happen.
Its funny, I was dead scared of being 30 and it really got to me. After it happened, I never worried about my age again as I realised that I couldnt stop time. What I have stopped doing is wishing years away though. A day at a time works for me now.

I found my first grey hair last year but that's fine, I just colour over it. When talking to a friend about my booking for my eyebrow wax I happened to laugh and say it was weird we go to so much trouble to get rid of unwanted hair.. she replied by saying "just wait til you're asking them to remove your facial hair"...
What?
Is this what I have to look forward to? sad
lol But as Fabio says, I'm just happy to have complete health x

Yep I'm quite fond of the older man... a man who's been there, done it and has a sexy splattering of grey on his head and chest... sillyhwoar:

COPE? I don't cope - I ignore! Seems the best bet as age encroaches and demoralises.

Same here - I ignore completely (as far as possible). And you won't find me going on in here about age at all - I'll make a rare exception for a post in this thread. lol
getting older....
who?
me?
nooooo.....
I simply find denial works best...
Although one major advantage is I care a hell of a lot less about what others think now than I did as a teen and in my early 20's... therefore I enjoy life a LOT more... :P

you're bored dear aren't you?
Your age is just a state of mind. Birthdays are just numbers they don't mean anything, ignore them, well, enjoy a party but don't let the increase of years disturb you.
What really, really counts is what is going on in your head. Are you getting old in there? Keep a young healthy mind and everything else wont matter.
A young mind is way sexy.
