You can only delete your post if no-one has posted after you.
You can edit and delete or change the text in your posts at any time but if someone has quoted you already then the original text will stay in their post!

you may be able to *edit* any previous posts... efectively leaving a blank space... not sure though...
why on earth am I posting as if I know anything?...I patently don't!
unless of course one of our glorious Moderators can be gainfully employed...

Not sure about that, but if you do have a post where no one as replied after you, you can delete it yourself by using the 'delete' button on the top right hand side of the post itself.

Yes, you can edit any of your posts, even if someone has replied or quoted you. again, the 'edit' button top right hand side of the post. However, if someone has quoted your post, their post wont be changed.

Yes, you can always ask a Mod to do it for you, but if LP asks, we are in the process of thinking up loads and loads of 'forfeits' for him to do before we agree to it.

I'm far from perfect Drew and I know that occasionally posts need to be deleted - but Pob seems to be asking about the majority of his posts.
And I don't regret posting what I did; I don't feel the need to delete it.

one of the best things, imo, about the forum itself is the ability to go back over previous posts. The 'search all posts' button is an absolute godsend and effective tool for 'researching' and checking someone out :lol2: - well, it is! and I dont think i'm the only one that uses it in that way

I do go back and read what people have posted previously. If I found they'd deleted a lot I'd be a bit concerned about their motive for doing so.

what i do now i may not wished i had done when im thinking back at 90.
i mean dont everyoen one wished they had listened and studied harder at school. Now thinking back maybe i should have done that little harder. but at the tiem at school i knew best.

but, when all's said and done, yes, you can go back through your previous posts and edit their content. What you cant do is erase all trace of ever being here - the post itself will still exist, and as you've probably seen when old threads get bumped, the SH archives go all the way back to day dot :thumbup:

Well you could go back through all your previous posts and edit the content, but I have a far simpler solution:
