I think Elliot's off getting some beer and I've only just finished reading this thread, we did look at SH for a long time and know that the community is the reason why the site is successful, we wouldn't want to do anything to change that. Also thanks to everyone that has spent a lot of time putting comments together for us.
I read earlier about concerns of privacy etc. But at this moment in time nothing has changed on the site and any changes made will have to ensure that no laws or acts or data protection or broken.

For a comapny that spent so much time looking at the site you seem to have no idea of how strongly the people here care for each other I have looked at your company website and would also like to know who the other 3 of the 14 people are as there are only 11 people listed on the site what is your and their interest in a Swinging Site if not for the database of people using that site. Lets face it from your answers to the questions your stonewalling the members.

These are the answers for Him N Her
1. Absolutely and genuinely no idea if we will make this site international, my gut feeling is no but please do not beat me up for it!.
2. We will continue to support the munches and help out wherever we can, we do want to be actively involved here.
Here are a few other bits that have been asked for public airing over PM
1. Honestly we have not considered creating a Gay Dating part to the site, lets look at this after we have got the main site sorted out.
2. Again every single member on this site without exception will get the free premium membership upgrade.
3. After the first 12 months one of two things will happen
If you are an active community participent, ie a genuine user and contributer to this site by posting in the forum or submitting dogging locations or storys etc, you will continue to get free premuim membership ongoing. We will consult you on the gate for this in the next few months.
If you are not an active community participent then after 12 months free premium upgrade your account will be reduced to what you have now!. Then you can decide to use it like that or pay to have it as premium again to use the extra bells and whissles.
Basically this is the theory, we never want any of the existing community members to pay for anything. If you are active you will never pay!. If on the other hand you are not a community spirited person and come here just to look at peoples pictures then expect to have to pay to do that to support the non paying community members.
Please please please, before i get kicked bitten and bruised again as I said we will discuss together what makes a community member and agree that before the 12 months are up.

It isn't a chatroom that flashes Voddy, it's flash based, flash being like mIRC/Java. It is a bit like the 2 combined from what I can gather

I have to say I think this statement, by way of example, captures a lot of the spirit of SH. I am encouraged.

I know it has been asked, but try as I might, I cant find an answer sad

Badges.........at munch events Ice Pie had/has permission to use the SH logo/s etc. He is our (for now as far as I know) still our resident badge maker for munches and sometimes socials. I work alongside him where I can and if he is not attending then I am his partner in crime and I make the badges, making them personal to the specific party.
So my question is, (at least for the foreseeable future) can we still use the designs/logos. biggrin

On a related point we had a members 2006 calendar on the go. I would suggest we can it in the short term until everyone has had a chance to settle down. However I would be interested in the logo use as I have often done little bits n bobs with SH stuff. Notably last years calendar design.

Regards to Badges Logos or T shirts or anything else that has a brand on it.
We are in the process of giving the site a few improvements that include a spring clean that could include the logo. You see this is the problem we are wanting to sponser the production of the badges, caps, pens along with perhaps T shirts or anything else that you want. In other words If you want them within reason we can help fund them!.
The current logo does not lend itself to well to being printed, before I get hit again here are the options.
1. Live with it as we know over 30% of people do not like change!
2. Put some alternative designs together and take a vote on it
3. Simply come back to it at a later stage
In the short term please feel free to use what you want any suggestions on points 1-3 welcome

Martin one thing you need to be aware of is the clandestine nature of this site. Very few people here advertise the fact they are here. Swingers tend to keep to themselves. So while there will no doubt be interest in SH cups n stuff, it may well be less than you think.
We do have a pin badge and you will note there are no pics of it anywhere. It is not the logo, for the very reason that we don't want everyone to know what it means smile

As for logo change, I don't thnk the site will implode if we come up with new ideas, just I don't expect many people to want to wear it to work ;)

I've not been too unhappy so far - been content to let the more intelligent carry my burden for me. But this raises something which impinges on me directly.
I spend up to six months each year travelling and even at the best of times I am not a profilic contributor. I've just looked it up - posts a day. The next time I go away for five or six months, will I come back to find my free membership terminated?

Can I make a suggestion that you obtain the "official" SH pin first? I'm actually quite keen on the current layout/colour scheme and the pins are very uncomplicated and the logo used could easily be replicated. If you just use the same logo fine, however, if you're going to add web addresses and the like then hmm not so sure, a lot of us are in this lifestyle and have families to protect, so I'm a little wary of merchandising it too much.
Swinging isn't like dating ........ you can promote a dating site quite well, promoting swinging on the other hand could prove detrimental to the lifestyle and participants. You must be wary of media interests ... according to the newspapers we are all raving sex mad perverts who are fair game to be paraded and exposed (so to speak). Marketing it be merchandising it could prove very dangerous and ring a lot of alarm bells.

Can i ask a question in regards to this....Obviously this covers those very well in the forums... but.I know a lot of people who use the chatroom and only come into the forums just to put their name down for munches.....can i ask how they will be covered after 12 months....as it been stated before, different people use different parts of the site and they aren't always intertwining...

Well I lived without SH before. But lots of people enjoyed my tales, yes? Maybe even found them useful.
Maybe I will have to find an internet cafe every week or so and log on, make a post and keep my licence. But sometimes you can't.
