This is a link to a site with a thread on about cheap brands actually being the same as the expensive stuff but just in a cheap product package. All from people in the know such as the factory workers, engineers etc.

(if its not allowed, please feel free to delete my post)
for example
Bourjois make up is made by Chanel (and is a lot cheaper)
The cheap electrical brand Aiwa, is all made by Sony
Asda noodles are made in the same factory as sharwoods
Clarins make the M&S skincare range. Face wash, Clarins , M&S
now the thread is 45 pages long, but if it can save you money, its well worth book marking and reading at your leisure. It covers food, drinks, electricals, cars etc.
Hope it helps some of you save some penneis.....and remember when you are rolling in dosh from saving all this money....it was Mrs B who helped so send some cash her way lmao lol

Fab find BD- just spent half an hour reading through it

i am a true believer of if you pay cheap you pay twice too, saying that we all love a bargin lol

she nicked that from me she did,
its a lesson i learned very early on in life and one that i have believed ever since
I ain't opposed to a bargain, but i would rather have a good product cheaper, that a cheap product, if that makes sense

I think you will be very surprised by how many cosmetic/skincare companies manufacture more than one brand.
Loreal make lancome.
estee lauder make clinique and bobby brown amongst others.
I would say tho that the cheaper brand cosmetics arn`t always as good just because they are made by a company which manufactures a premium cosmetic.
I also know that Nurofen is made by boots.

I agree with you..... I tend to go with what my budget allows at the time and get the best possible. Although some thing that are cheaper are more than fine..
Some technology stuff is worth getting as cheap as possible, because its constantly developing, and probably not worth being seduced into thinking its likely to last a long time.
For working on my land rover I only buy quality tools, car boot stuff is normally cr*p.
