Bugger that, you'd have to be sat half a mile away to not see the pixels...
...which is why my gardener has one at the bottom of the lawn. :silly:

Mmmmmmmm......donuts........
Yep, another 42 incher here....with Sky Plus, blah de blah....even though we mostly only watch the Beeb...only other use is for the bike racing on Eurosport.
When we first got it we re-watched all our fave movies, like being at the flicks.
I have a thingy, it turns my laptop into a TV. Available anytime, anywhere.

Do you have to pay the BBC your licence fee still? (serious question)
confusedSadly yes, TV signals are still being received.
I'll say - the bigger the better. And it has to be flat - I can't stand it when they bulge in the middle ;)

How about a slight bend?
Can't do with outsized screens. So long as I can read subtitles (when I use them) that's ample for me. Any more than that and it would dominate the room. It's a living room not a cinema ffs.

for the living room we got a little flat screen that sits in the corner so it doesn't hog the focus of the room.
I converted the granny flat (coz we dont have any grannies anymore) into a cinema, hence the 112" screen.
all tastefully done, it also doubles as the "play" room :-)
I'm sticking with the CRT (thats the old, deep style tellys, not the new thin ones).
Cos i work with video all day i'm using broadcast spec monitors so i'm now used to seeing it all in the best quality possible, LCD's and Plasmas just aren't up to scratch, however much you spend. The only exception to that was at a trade show where Panasonic were showing off there latest and biggest screen, about 200 inches. The quality was amazing, even from 2ft away, the only down side was the price which they estimated would be near £100k when they finally release it
For anyone thinking of buying a HD tv, be careful! Unless it has a resolution of 1920x1080 you're not getting HD, just a resized compromise. Save your money and buy a cheaper model until we're actually getting a decent HD transmisssion service and the prices have levelled out wink
I'll shut up now before i go off on another rant about the HD rip off in the UK evil
