These days I don't think we can really rely on seasonal availability of certain foodstuffs... our bodily calendars can be thrown out completly.
Nowadays, I think many Creme Eggs, once the stuff of easter, are grown in Argentina and Brazil...
always in the shops of course... but think of the carbon footprint!

Make sure you use cold water.. otherwise.. its gonna melt...but, of course, cold water may have the effect of other items reducing in size.. Rock and hard place situation (or two soft and flacid if you get my drift!!) confused

but you'll have to agree Martin... the creme egg route, Brazilian grown, or indeed forced out of season under Dutch glass has taken a rather interesting twist... has it not?
