Are you a jumper or a slider?
Do you find something new, a hobby for example, and jump in with both feet. Buying everything you need in an orgy of indulgence (finance permitting), joining clubs and organisations all on the spur of the moment?
Or
Do you slide into a new venture, reading and digesting as much information as you can before committing. Perusing advice and review sites for any scraps of information you can find before dipping a toe into the unknown.
The reason I ask, most of my current interests are sedentary pursuits. Hobbies and interests that require almost no physical input from me at all. However, recently I have developed an interest in Kayaking, Sea Kayaking to be precise. Suddenly, I find myself reading reviews of boats, paddles, clothing and assorted kit with alarming regularity. I have a Favourites folder of sites and a list of possible boats and kit. I am defiantly sliding, but I’ve never even set foot in a Kayak.
So, better to jump, and find out soon if you like something, or slide, and see if the interest wanes?

PS. I chose a hobby as an example, but it could be anything. Buying a car, getting into that requires a significant investment of money or time.
