Just curious but...
well I have 'played away' without my partner knowing. I do have my reasons, she's not at all well and has no interest in sex whatsoever but I have a high sex drive. I don't do 'affairs of the heart' I just meet ladies ,when I get the chance , for sex. i don't have drunken one night stands I only'play' if the other person understands the situation. I want and need good horny sex so I make it clear before hand and so far the few occasions when I've met up it's been great. If/when my partner gets her desire back I'll stop, she's totally gorgeous and I'd love to be making the most of her wonderful body whenever I could but at the moment I don't have that opportunity..It's a bit like having a Ferrari and not being able ti drive it .Or a huge hunk of the best chocolate and not being able to eat it ..

In my opinion, you just can't be in a serious relationship and play away without your partners consent.
Honesty and trust are two of the foundation stones of a serious relationship; playing away without consent just breaks both those right there.

London Chap – don’t know if you are – but you really shouldn’t be surprised as to the negative response to your post. Most people on here, as with most groups of people, believe infidelity is wrong. If your partner gave her consent then fine – have you asked her? She is ill, you love her – where is your support?
You say that you only play if the other person understands the situation. Sorry, might be wrong but, I wonder whether that’s the case always, never or some of the time. One of the suspicions that couples or females might have of single guys is that they may be cheating on their partners and they want nothing to do with it.
There will be single guys here that are honest, open and genuine for whose cause your statement does nothing to promote
Finally with the car and chocolate analogy, I think it was your way of complimenting her and see it as your naivety and lack of understanding rather than anything else.
