Hi Misskitty
I never shave, I pluck.
Yes it takes a while but the results are well worth it. It leaves you baby soft, no regrowth itching and no need for moisturisters upsetting the balance of your personal area
Get yourself a good pair of tweezers, a small mirror and a reclining chair with a table lamp close by. Stick something good on the telly and pluck away............I promise you it is nothing like plucking your eyebrows - now that flippin hurts!
As I said before, it is the smoothest sexiest finish to your sexy bits and absolutely no itching as there are no sharp regrowth hairs.
Have fun!

eeeeeek!!!!!
I have a pink venus, does the job required and I finish off with a body moisturiser, jobs a gud un!

i get a shaving rash 99.9% of the time when i shave my bits and its not cus im new to it cus been doing it for over 2 years
iv tried new razors, old ones, different shaving foams including ones for men aswell as fem ones, iv tried putting moisturising cream on after (unperfumed ones), iv done it in the bath, iv tried doing it weekly, every other day but i still get a horrible red rash, not always itchy but uncomfortable
i usually end up putting sudocream on at night to soothe it
mayb id better give up but i hate having hair there

Do you shave with the grain.... mostly downwards? Going against the hair can lift the skin and cause a rash.
I often get razor rash. I find the best way to reduce it is to:
Use the best quality razor I can afford (or nick off hubby).
Always (as far as poss) swipe in the direction of the hair.
If it's long (not quite plaitable - but you know what I mean) trim with an electric razor first to minimise the number of swipes needed.
Soak in the bath to get warm, then run the water out until lying in shallow water.
Lather up with something very soothing - I find hair conditioner is very good and slippy.
Rinse off and cool it with a sponge and cold water (a shock to the system but it works).
Dry EVER SO GENTLY - again in the direction of the growth.
Finally - there is a product you can use that contains high concentration of salycylic (spelling?) acid (aspirin) and reduces ingrowing hairs by softening the overlying skin so the hair can pop through. It stings like blazes (get partner to try it first to get an idea of the level of suffering involved). But it works a treat if ingrowing hairs are a big problem. I can't remember the name of the product I used but I'm sure Mr Google can tell anyone who feels brave enough to try it. It's also great for guys who get ingrowing hairs in the crease of their neck after face-shaving.

Me too! I have very sensitive skin so elsewhere on my body i get rashes and very dry skin patches too.
I've found a antiseptic cream used after shaving and a few days after minimises any rashes - and i've been shaving for well over 20 years and STILL get rashes - but hate hair down there
Thank you all! will try some more of those and will keep you posted....
I've said this tons of times on the forum, Epilday

a friend of mine recently got herself an epilady (or similar, not sure now) and she had a very small buzz on my belly... about one square inch.
eeeeeeeeeeee!
though later (within minutes) I wanted to return to the fiendish device. She was having none of it.

Just think where we use it honey.... bit more sensitive than your belly.. trust me.

Its got to be one of the worst experiences I've had lol, I have tried it several times but have never completed the area and always revert back to my Venus wet razor :smile2: I really don't know how you stand the pain Dawnie
Plucking.... owwww
Epilady... double owwwwww!!!
Bought Intuition ladies razor with shea butter strip... hmmmmm works for me!!!
Got Veet for backup....
have covered the area in diprobase... seems to be ok at the moment... can actually sit down without too much discomfort!
Might have to get my other half to help with the next shave... you up for it hunie? if you can stand the pace hehe ... halo harp wings.....
I have tried every razor, gel and cream etc under the sun and for me my personal fave is the Gillette Fusion, the blades are quite expensive but well worth it, i just use shower gel with it, i strongly believe its not the gel not the blades that gives a good shave, i've never even looked to try anything else since i got mine smile
