Hiya
Is it just me or is there some sort of automatic button that gets activated as soon as you hit 40+ . I'm not sure whether it's being 41 thats to blame or maybe it's because we joined SH, but I've gone from the classic "aww I'm too tired/stressed/busy for a shag" to feeling positively rejected if I'm not asked every night! Whats happening to me, where's the Fire I used to be?? who's stolen her???

If you're anything like me hun, its coz the more you have it, the more you crave!
If Ive gone a while without, I become indifferent.

When I hit 40 my libido went through the roof.... winchwench is right though, the more you get the more you want :rascal:
I think it's to do with the fact that you are comfortable with yourself and you know what you want wink

I'm sure I read somewhere that women hit their sexual peak in their 40's and males in their 20's (feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) so I guess it's all down hill for me from now on :cry: :cry: lol

I've always loved sex, but my libido did go uo when I hit 30.
Although over the last month or so I've been stressed out with work and unwell and I seemed to have lost my Mojo :shock:
It seems to be on it's way back now thank god.

I never say life begins at 40, it just gets better :twisted: I've noticed that since I passed that landmark my libido has gone into overdrive ! I used to be a twice a week girl in my 20s and a take-it-or-leave-it girl in my 30s but since reaching 40 I'm ready for it every day of the week :shock: and it's even worse when woman's week is approaching :twisted:

That mode of thought has been around for a while and it was based on a study about orgasms and the ease of getting aroused dependent on age. and guess what? Men peaked at 18 - 20 (too much self gratification no doubt) they also found that women peaked then aswell.
BUT sexual satisfaction is found to occur a lot later in life. There again everyone is different and people feel they are at their sexual peak at different times in their life. I haven't yet met a teenager who can compare to an older man/woman with regards to sexual skills and sophistication!

Funny isnt it when it happens. I think I was about 41 when it happened to me and I was gob smacked lol. However I didnt really start to enjoy life and sex in its entirety until I was mid 30's at least as no one said it was meant to be fun lol.
I think as you grow older you are so much surer on the whole of your sexuality. I think in my 20's I spent all my time worrying about my career and being a baby making machine. In my 30's career and tiredness ruled - now I am definately putting my house in order so as to make as much time for sex as possible lol.

We read a book recently...scary huh..? Called "Why men don't listen and women can't read maps". It went to great lengths to explain, primarily, the differences in the structures of men and womens' brains. Can't possibly remember it all now but the chapter on love, sex etc was particularly fascinating and apparantly yes,...women do peak sexually at around 40, they do suddenly get the urge to impregnated by the dominant male just before "womens week", and men get very restless after sex and want to change a lightbulb or summat.
Current fads, political correctness and religious rules can't obliterate hundreds of thousands of years of biological evolution. The most interesting bits were the investigations into love, lust and infatuation with regard to production of viable offspring.
Similarly worth a read were the lists of what women look for in men (short term and long term) and what women think men look for in women (short and long term) and vice versa.
What became crystal clear was that women know a lot more about men than men know about women.......that came as no surprise huh girls..?
