Make someone smile....

I know we've done this before (but I can't find it) and thought it would just be good to do again......... lol

So my challenge to everyone is to buy/make a gift for someone they know that will put a smile on their face....the only condition is that is must cost less than 1 english pound.........
So put your thinking caps on and get something for your friend, lover, neighbour, or even a stranger.......
If you want to post in the thread what you've done that's brilliant but if you want to keep it to yourself what you've done we'd love to know..... :lol:

Kate, I would love to buy you a pair of tights from a certain market :thumbup:
Then I'd pinch some flowers from the garden for you :rose:
I'm going to write a note and stick it in Ians laptop bag for when he gets to work in the morning :thumbup:

I don't think the train ticket up to scotland costs under a pound, otherwise i'd get you that- i'll have to think about this pk!

Kate, not only did Ian read my note before he left for work this morning but when I came to boot my laptop, under my mouse was a lovely note back for me.

Saw a one pound coin on the pavement today, picked it up, bought a sheet of hand-made paper, purple with gold specks. Now must recall everything I learned from Blue Peter watching to make a box, and cover it with the paper. Then I shall fill it with lavender and a bar of lavender soap and give it to my Easter guest! I hope she'll smile. smile

Well I came downstairs this morning and thought I never left my laptop bag on a chair. So when I loaded my laptop into it, I found Dawnie's note.
At first I thought it would be the "loaf of milk and pint of bread" type of reminder, but oh no !!!
Four pages of nicey things.
I was so shocked, that I had to sit down for a minute and compose myself.
And as today was the shittiest day at work for around four years, I needed it to keep me going.

I'm hoping to prepare a pearl-style necklace for forthcoming guest... I believe she'll appreciate it...
in the nature of this thread, it won't be *real* pearls, and hence inexpensive, but I'd like to think the effort put into the project will demonstrate my willingness to please redface
