oh i love seeing bands live, and going to music festivals, you have to go to music festivals to experience the loos you havn't lived till you've smelt a fesitval loo after 4 days in the sun lol

Quite agree! Looking forward to Glastonbury this year. Will be there from Tuesday 23rd so I get extra loo days!! Hope to catch Neil Young as never seen him before.
we have got tickets to see both muse and kasabian in november at the nia smile cant wait :)
I can't wait either both will be fantastic again smile
Gary xx xx
I couldn't live without music.
I'm always listening to stuff. CD's, vinyl albums, Spotify etc.
I do prefer seeing bands live. Big arena gigs are cool but some of the best shows I've seen have been "underground" bands playing at poky little clubs like JB's in Dudley or The Underworld in Camden. Going to small clubs to see bands is brilliant because you can get close to the band and a lot of them come and have a pint with the fans after they've played their show. Practically every band I've seen in that situation are great people who are no different from the fans on the floor or in the pit. I've sat and drunk beer with ex Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin backstage at JB's, had a 20 minute conversation about speedway with Lee Dorrian of Cathedral and had a hug from the singer of Alabama Thunderpussy for venturing out to see his band on a cold, wet Monday night.
I could not live without my music. Everywhere i go, my music comes with me .... there's a docking station in every room in my house. Much prefer listening to music than watching the TV (if i am watching TV then its generally the music channels).
Love, love, love going to live gigs, and festivals are just the best..... an experience not to be missed, although i'm gutted we've not been to any this year sad
Best live bands I've seen have to be Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Muse....going to see Greenday in October and cant wait ...also trying to get tickets for
Muse again cos they're fantastic!!
Listening to the new Maxwell album at the mo. Pretty good
I love watching live bands - anything from U2 and REM at the stadiums to little known local bands at Clwb Ifor Bach or Barfly. You can't beat the raw sound of live music
I make my living as a musician but when i've finished for the day I switch off. I don't know if that makes me a philistine. ( Hebrew scriptures respected). For me to see a live act, (classical. Jazz, blues, etc). they must me special.
I'm getting right into Paolo Nutini at the mo....
I love live music - I think were quite lucky here in Bristol as we have a great music scene.
Funlovers - I agree Muse is brill!!
I adore going to concerts - usually classical.
Lots of tickets for the Welsh Proms in the next fortnight.
:bounce:
omg im sooooo excited cus we r going to see coldplay .... cant wait smile
life is sooooooo good, we saw muse last week at the nia and kasabian last night there....both fantastic lol

I believe there's a track on there called , tell me I'm wrong...go on!
where?

On the CD reissues, yes. Instrumental, all synths, very clearly Gary Numan 1979 - no-one else managed that sound I think it's because he just played power chords on moogs fed through guitar effects pedals that made his sound so distinctive. Pity he changed so much but then again Haunted off his last album blows away most industrial records so... anyway Random is a good track.
you like your Numan, I can tell.
(see I spelt it right this time? Im learning)

I do. He rules and never got the credit he deserved. Some of his stuff doesn't work and just sounds like someone who can't sing putting together slabs of random noise and trying to make it sound like pop, but when it does work it's other worldly and just slays me... also, i want to fuck him.

I knew I liked you :>
That's the only Numan tour I have not seen in person. I started the following year. Numan was my initiation into the world of the alternative - even though he was popular, he was never exactly mainstream - it's also his fault that I started wearing make-up, and that I have refused to grow up.

live music BUT it has to be in a smallish venue.
anything bigger than say the brixton academy or ally pally and i dont bother going even when i have free tix.
ideal capacity 500-2000. max 8000-1000.
id rather be hung from my testicles than see a stadium gig. (and i dont do s&m)

I agree - to an extent - but sometimes if you are a fan then a stadium gig is the only way you can see an artist.
And some artists can make the biggest stadium feel small.
