The first thing I really need to do is apologize for taking so long to reply to this thread, so I’m sorry people, but hey, walk a mile in my shoes right now.
The second thing I need to do is to thank all of you who took the trouble to be there, I was about to say ‘you have no idea what it means to me‘, but actually, I think you do thank you all so much 
What a tremendous effort those who dressed for the occasion made, bloody fantastic, you did us all proud, I’m now truly ashamed that I didn’t find the time to sort out a costume.
Well, what can I say shipmates It was certainly over far too quickly, was it a case of ‘ we came, we saw, we conquered’ or was it a case of ‘eats shoots and leaves :lol2: (I know :roll: )
All I can say is, that as we stand and watch ‘PPS The Good Ship Venus’ sail away into the sunset, I cant help but feel that we have witnessed the end of an era :cry: Good times
So then, special moments:
Watching the looks on peoples faces as our bevy of captivating pirate wenches marched up the whole field in full costume (which hid far less than it revealed)
The two young Welsh lads in the little caravan who were so appreciative of the sights and sounds of our little encampment
Meeting Mr. & Mrs WinchWench at long last,
hwoar: my god woman you are even more gorgeous in the flesh :inlove: :bounce:
Mentioned in Dispatches: (in no particular order)
Red (shag me for my recipe) Panther Man has to win the award for the closest to Captain Jack Sparrow look alike. 1st prise for wearing the most clothes since Scott of the Antarctic and still managing a shiver on a mild autumn evening and not forgetting the famous Spicy Chicken :thumbup:
Ukwineman for the wonderful fire pit without which we would all have had to dress like RPM, the chainsaw :shock: and of course the scrummy chilly that got us settled in on the first evening.
The raiding party, Firelizard and Stormy (I think someone else went too but I cant remember who
ops: ) who went out and procured a fantastic array of provisions on a pretty tight budget :thumbup:
Stormy, as always you kept me in stitches even in the early hours when barely awake, we nearly managed to foil your dastardly plan, but then somehow managed to forget you had one

Wenchy who not only produced one, but two fantastic costumes for herself :kiss: but also managed to provide half the crew with various bits of attire, (thanks for the hat

Mr. Wenchy, was great to meet you at last, a true gentleman, fantastic costume and an asset to any pirate crew :thumbup: as was said, get posting man, the café needs more like you :cheers:
Sassy (got into your tent at last :bounce: )who in true pirate style, managed to surprise us all by turning up despite personal injury and discomfort to yet again do things with bananas that left us all moaning and then, as if that wasn’t enough had us all moaning again, one after the other :shock: Firelizard, I never knew you were such a screamer :rascal: oh loved the pink pj’s :thumbup:

Mr & Mrs Fc, great costumes and as always a true asset to any crew, thanks for all the hard work, it really didn’t go un-noticed. The only people I know with a car that could sneak up on a rabbit without being heard, you’re so going to have to call it KIT
Lastly, my lovely lady … sorry wench Varca :inlove: :inlove: I am almost stuck for words :lol2: Who else could blow away convention with such style? Lil miss “I don’t do trousers or flat shoes” managed to show that you can rough it in a field under canvas and yet still look like its an afternoon tea at Tiffany’s :lol2: thank you for everything darling :kiss: (cant believe what you did to poor Stormy, I’m sure he’ll never fully recover and he’s already wondering if it wasn’t really just a ghost drifting through the early morning mist in nothing more than a pair of fishnets )
So there we have it, if I’ve missed anyone I‘m sorry, be more memorable :roll:
As our good ship disappears over the horizon lets all raise one more glass to her and wish her bon-voyage :cheers: thank you all again for your wonderful company, your good spirit, outstanding wit but most of all, your friendship, a true treasure that will be with me always :thumbup:
