Finally managed to get one yesterday afternoon. Didn't pay over the odds except they added a couple of games which was a little naughty. One the kids will play , the other maybe not .
Politeness on the telephone paid dividends though . Finlay had been ringing the store each morning only to be told the usual " No stock , no idea when expected " .
A collegague of his was in the City at lunchtime and phoned him to say there was a long queue outside a shop and people were walking out with Wii's .
Finlay rings the said shop and explained the story that he'd rung each morning , and even that morning , and was told the same story and how disappointed he was .
The manager explained they'd had 35 in just before lunch and if he rung after 4 he may have a 'spare' .
Turns out people leave orders at different shops and when they get one don't cancel their order at other shops .
Morale of the story .
Patience , be polite on the telephone. Finlay was !!(can't believe it myself) and a little bit of luck !!
