Italy to as my ancestors are from there so would like to visit.
Some of my ancestors as well. Word is they were running when they left. Come to think of it it was a state which is now most of north Italy, Italy came later.
Must be why I like pizza!
And might be why I like pasta lol
well..as anyone that knows me..will know..I am a lover of the far east. have been over to thailand some 17 times now. However my all time favorite place has to be Cambodia. Went over to Siem reap to see the angkor wat. It was where Tomb Raider was filmed and the game was based on. It is a truely awe inspiring place. If you get the chance..GO.

Now I am jealous! Would love to go to Cambodia/Angkor Wat etc.... was on my list to pop over when I did India but got sidetracked!! Regret it now..
Jamaica... aaaahh.. 3rd palm tree from the left - open bottle of rum, climb in and... relax. Wonderful people, music and food.
In Europe.. Spain for the bluest skies, Italy for it's passion and ... of course.... Brittany..
'cause we live there!

You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place, I have been down there a few times. I have promised myself when all My children are older, I am going to pack up and walk the coastal route from one side of cornwall around to the other.
SO I might need a bed for the night on my journey wink
I like the bits of the UK that are wild and open most of which have already been mentioned.
I cant bear to holiday in the third world. The poverty that surrounds me on such holidays stops me from enjoying myself.

Paris - the most elegant place I've been to. Beautiful and dignified.

I adore Paris Poppy. Only been the once, back when I was around 24 or so, and we did 5 days in youth hostels here and there on about 200 quid each. We got the National Express which stops outside the city next to the science park at Parc De La Villette, got the Metro to Notre Dame, and I can still vividly remember the feeling I had as we walked out from the tunnel into the spring sunshine, with the Ile De La Cite before us. Stunning. Must take Gem one of these days. Been promising her it long enough, but she's of a Scandinavian bent, and keeps insisting on some muddy festival field in bloody Denmark! rolleyes lol
As for Italy, the company I work for is a UK distributor for an Italian manufacturer based just outside Venice. Missed the last fully paid jaunt out there last year, and had to miss last months trip out to Milan, all expenses paid. Stupid bloody passport office! sad

Kind of get where you're coming from Ben. I'd love to do India in particular, and South East Asia in general, but not sure I'd enjoy Bangkok, and not sure how I'd feel about the poverty and the prostitutes and the dodgy europeans. ;) Still, suppose it's all part of the rich tapestry of life, so gonna do it one day.
Anyways, this year, we are mostly holidaying in Staffordshire next month, hopefully the Norfolk broads again at some point if we get the cheap Haven holiday from the Sun tokens ((( yes Kent, OK, I admit it, twice a year I actually allow The Sun through my door for a week or so. confused  ;) ))) and Devon, in a caravan overlooking The hotel on the island would probably be a bit nicer, but at 500 quid a night, with mandatory white tie for dinner, we might have to give it a miss. ;)
