tresome conditioner and shampoo - leave conditioner on for an hour or so - works a treat!
As Choocie says, Tresemme's salon silk conditioner and shampoo are very good for dry hair... they helped rescue The Lovely thick wavy hair when it went through a horribly dry time and I've stuck with them though maybe they won't work the same for your fine hair...
You could try:
washing your hair much less often and in much cooler water;
the Tresemme;
if you have frizz, using some John Frieda extra strength defrizz serum after conditioner;
spraying with Aussie Miracle Luscious Long leave in Conditioner;
colouring less often (or better!);
less heat!

Great tips!
Sara, I think my hair is too fine for leave-in products, but I may give it a go over the weekend so if it does look greasy it's not a work day!
Bouncy, I may well invest in some of that - appreciate the info.

if it looks greasy then could be too much product used. i use about a 50p sized amount and rub my hands well and then work into my hair, i have long hair well below my shoulders so adjust the amount you use is my advice
ooooooooo just had a thought ... avon used to sell a leave in conditioner and it is on offer at the moment here is a link

However, it is a well known fact that regular sex contributes massively to one's sense of wellbeing. It is also well-documented that when you feel better you look better (skin and hair etc.). So (you know where I'm going don't you?), perhaps regular fantastic sex will do wonders for your hair. Of course, as a good friend, I am volunteering to help out in any way I can! :rascal: :twisted:
I was interested in Sara2010's advice:

So if, say, 250ml of a product costs then you have to measure out Sounds a bit of a faff to me. Besides, I don't think I have a measuring jug that accurate. Does that depend on how much hair you have, i.e. how long it is etc.? If hair care is so complicated, I'm glad I don't have much! lol
I could try it on my chest, I suppose.

Before anyone posts, I do realise that you meant a blob about the size of a 50p piece. Just my warped sense of humour.
I only wash my hair twice a week and never use conditioner, Just heat protection spray before I dry and iron it
Drying hair quickly after washing can sometimes help to
It is in much better condition than when I washed it every day, not using conditioner can help with fine hair but it won't do much for your dry hair
My friend use to use eggs on her dry hair before washing it lol :lol:
