Wonderful time in 20006.
1] Husband got the all clear from cancer after 2 years of hell.
2] Had the best 4 weeks holiday of our lives.
3]Gave up my job.
4]Rented our house out for a year.
5] Went to Australia for 3 months, met some long lost relatives.
6] All our family and friends are well.
7] Met some very sexy people from SH and really enjoyed ourselves.
8] going to Spain and France shortly.
Well to be honest the year was shite at the start I had to look after the kids due to my ex being unable to and whilst doing so I watched my buisness to down the pan, but.................
...............all came good later on in the year, I met loads of wonderfull people of here who I now class as friends, I took chances some payed off some didn't but non the less I took em. I now have a new job with a great salary and even better prospects, I moved to my new favourite city and love every minute I'm here biggrin I'm sure there is something else but I can't quite think of it right now confused
oooh yeah I've just remembered the thing I love most about 2006 is this kiss
I found a very nice lady on here. I have not met her but, I think I know her so well.
Discovered that the written word, and long correspondence does have value.
Laughed at some jokes, made some crass arguments that well never stand up, but they seemed humorous at the time.
Discovered again that not all of man/woman kind should be drowned at birth.
....and I am still alive....and fucking.

But most importantly, it is the year when my beautiful Angelica decided to join me in the swinging ranks. And boy has she enjoyed it in trumps.

I had 2 helpings of xmas dins yesterday and enjoyed that in trumps too cool Reckon it must've been the overdose of sprouts redface
I just hope the gorgeous Angelica showed her appreciation once she was away from the swinging situation :uhoh:
rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Have you been listening?
Strangely enough I put trumps in instead of another adjective that I thought might offend! Next time you ask me for a game of bridge or whist remind me to have a good think about it.
.
Well 2006 has been an eventful year with a great ending. The year started badly. I think I had spent the preceeding 2 years in the wilderness - lost in terms of what I was doing in life, work, family - just LOST. What I suppose that meant was that I was desperately unhappy. I made my mind up last February to turn that around and so I have!!!!!!!!
I met MartellNotts and somehow we have survived 9 months lol  brilliant - a man who is first my friend ( I love you for that and for many things). We talk loads of bollox but we are a dam fine couple
I have left my job - I cant believe I did it but I have and start a new job in January 2007and start my PhD in September    . I thank peeps on here who gave me advice about finding the confidence to change jobs xxxx
I gave up smoking ( have the odd one but even thats okay  )
I am developing a really good relationship with all my children and thats the best feeling in the world :
I have been to some great munches and parties and celebrations with friends new and old
So, on reflection, this has been a great year - onwards and upwards for 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well despite having a few curveballs we've ended 2006 on a high and very positively biggrin
Morbius finished Uni, although he hasn't graduated yet (he's taking a year out).
Morbius has a new (ish) job which pays well and he is loving it :D
I changed jobs halfway through the year and it's the best thing I've ever done :D
I kicked the anti-depressants and despite a few wobbles I'm feeling fantastic.
We've both lost weight .. over a stone each so far and still losing.
Our daughter was told last week, that her chemotherapy will finish in a fortnight and that she doesn't have to undergo more treatment (best bit of bloody news we've had all year)
Weve had a couple of years of terrible luck, major struggles and the last few months have really turned around for us smile Can't wait to start 2007 in such a positive mood :D
Calista x

I think this is the most heartwarming thing I've read here.
The truly amazing thing is that you both have got through things the way you have - at least as far as most people are concerned. I know I don't know the half of what you've been through but to me you're still the fantastic Cali kiss and Morbius.
.
I just want to mention one of my small but important highlights! Back in the summer my good friend Nallers (gone from here but not departed!) spent a great deal of time and effort and sweat in removing my bath and installing a great big huge shower - now, every morning as I stand in it enjoying the water running over my body, I give thanks to him!
Mind you he still has to finish off the small stuff but hey, I LOVE it and it's certainly made a huge difference to my life.
thanks N!
lol
What a lovely read this thread has been!! :inlove:
A few highlights of 2006 from me are, in no particular order...
Mrs Kiss reaching the 'magic' 5 year milestone of being free from cancer - I threw a massive surprise party for her and invited anyone everyone that meant something to her, it was wonderful
Getting geunuine interest from several publishers about a book about Aspergers that I've written (well nearly finished!) and I'm still talking to two with a view to accepting an offer.
Managing to find the time earlier in the year to play several gigs in Manchester , London and Cambridge. But not as many as I'd hoped due to my numerous other interests!
Passed 3 modules of my OU maths degree. Albeit I got a rollocking about sending work in late twice. redface I can't think what else has been distracting me?
Which leads me nicely onto SH! lol
I've enjoyed becoming a member of SH and meeting people both online and in the flesh. I look forward to more chats, meetings, laughter and fun!
Other little highlights have been holding down a full-time job as an engineers assistant, losing weight, learning lots of new useless facts and information about the world and myself.
Here's to 2007!
drinkies

Believe me Shireen I'll be shouting if from the rooftops!! biggrin
I forgot to mention in my list that I started a website/forum about Aspergers - it's growing slowly and hopefully I'll find more time to devote to it in 2007!
Well, 2006 hasn't been too bad to me and NY Eve always tends to be a time of reflection then hope for the new year, and this one is no different.
2006 started badly, saying goodbye for good to the bestest vanilla friend I've ever had, stuck in the worst agency job on earth for the sake of paying the bills & choosing some pretty shite people to associate with rolleyes
but, we're talking positivity here arn't we, sooooo......
(1) got rid of said crap wave :kick:
(2) walked out of said crap job & havent looked back
(3) landed a blindingly good job I love & a funded place back at uni
(4) put in a bid for project work and got it  and a bit more on top :smug:
(5) went to loads of Munches & Socials and parties, with some of the most wonderful people on here :bounce: Felt sparks fly, found sexual awakening, got horny, got pissed (alot) and met many new faces. Best of all I've been lucky enough to make some real & strong friendships and allowed these people into my life and my affections.
(6) watched those said friends grow strong, confident and find unity and wellbeing in themselves kiss
(7) organised (and pulled it off lol) my first Munch
(8) got head-hunted for another job I absolutely adore. Darkfire found her calling  unfortunately it was only temporary but career-wise 2006 has been bloody fantastic!
(9) Daughter started primary school and is academically brilliant (shame about the attitude, have no idea where she gets that from redface )
(10) Fully realised what I have in Mr Dark, in the freedom, trust & belief he has in me, that the grass is never greener & that his pedestal needs polishing every day  We rock!
and now, a couple of hours into 2007 and a little reflection, I didnt stop smoking, or drinking, or lose weight, I didnt learn tact & diplomacy or when to keep my gob shut , I still cant do pink and fluffy & I love rottweilers  all I can say is Bring It On 2007, give me ya best shot !!!!!!

Ooooo kiss i would be very interested in this
Good bye 2006 and thanx
You taught me a lot about myself .
I have met some very special people this year who have opened my eyes and for that I thank them , (a piece of my hart will always be with you)
Hello 2007 another year older and I hope wiser ?
Im going to try to do nice , thoughtful, caring, understanding,
And all the other words I cant usually spell !
But seriously I think its time I changed so im going to try it this year and see if !!! well just see if ?
wink
Flying a helicopter.
Getting to the one year clear of cancer milestone.
Got a brand-spanky new car.
Finding out I was a natural at flying a helicopter.
Finished building my new fishpond and fitted my new bathroom suite.
Having a former work associate surprise me with a lovely thank you gift of flying a helicopter.
Meeting Bloke – who is one of the ‘nicest’ people you can insult by calling ‘nice’… but he really is a top bloke and a fun gollygay to have as a mate (just don’t go dogging with him – unless you want to end up in a situation which resembles a cross between The Deliverance and Thriller).
The birthday treat I arranged for myself (even though I did ache in a few strange places afterwards) – thank you guys wink
I can’t miss out the day I flew a helicopter.
Cabbages and poo – I have never laughed so much as something so simple.
Managed to finish all of my OU modules on time and maintain a high 80’s average (despite every single piece of work being thrown together at the very last minute. So last minute in fact, it is a good job my tutor lives in Leicester so I could pop them through his letter box at 3am to hit the deadlines).
Bought my first Prada bag and then gave it away to my sister-in-law – the smile it put on her face was worth every penny.
Harvested 3 lemons from my lemon tree – I have had the bloody thing for well over 5 years and this is the first time any lemons reached their full size.
Did I mention the helicopter?
Getting through the last bit of the year without totally loosing my sanity.
Being reminded of the positive things, at just the right moment, by some wonderful people I hold the deepest respect for.
And of course…flying a helicopter biggrin
