i think, and this is only my opinion, its because they want to meet someone in the same 'class' as themselves, if they have a well paid job the chances are they have a higher standard of living than someone on the dole, eat out in posh places and all, so when doing the social meet, have a drink see how we get on etc they want to meet people who fit in with and can afford their life style, it also says what kind of people they want to meet, in a previos add i remember putting as half a joke not looking for chavs, ok it was ment to light hearted but im not, by them stating they looking for professional couple maybe thats their way of saying the same, the chances are a doctor or such like isnt going to turn up bling to the eye balls in a track suit saying innit lol
Quite right NN. Although variety is one of the things that make swinging great fun and that is crosses class barriers nicely, I think it is only natural that people are drawn to people similar to themselves. It's because they most likely feel more comfortable with a shared lifestyle. Talking extremes and I shall use class as a distinction rather than derogatory names, here it's no different to a working class person calling a middle class person a 'snob', than it is the middle class person calling the working class person a 'chav'.
