you're quite right and I'd put money on it being these people who put moan posts in the Cafe that they've had no replies. rolleyes

Yes I can understand people not wanting to put postcodes in their profile, but they can put this in their reply to you, but the rest is a mystery.
The one that amuses me most is the single straight guy looking for gay females - I just can't get my head round that one dunno

I can to a certain extend understand people wh don't wan't to give themselves a label.
db once described me as "very bisexual" and I disagreed.
My reasoning was that although I'm attracted to women and enjoy playing with them I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with another female - I like men too much biggrin

But there's a big gulf between not wanting to be labelled and being in denial :D

After reading Judy's initial post - I went to my profile and filled some of it in.
I hadn't so far, purely because I don't use or respond to the Photo Ad Section. My original "This is me" seems to have disappeared in the shake up, but in it, I did write that if people came across it while trawling the ads, they shouldn't respond but, come say hello in the cafÃ© - if they wanted to get in touch

I agree with Judy.
If someone is using the place as a "contact site" - they should put as much (true and honest) info about themselves in as many sections of the new improved site.

That's the one thing CA took with her when she went that I sometimes wish she hadn't.
It wouldn't fit HLB, but I think with my new trimmer figure cool

We've got to agree with JudyTV - a load of N/As in the profile means we don't bother. For us the biggie is smoking. We know from experience that we are unlikely to hit it off with non-smokers, so we look for smokers. Given that we're in a minority these days there doesn't seem much point in following up where others don't even make that much clear.

What's to say.....
Been active in the lifestyle for a few years, had an ad on here for nearly as long (though we changed email address so it looks like we joined in the middle of last year). We're unusual on the scene as Red is straight (so we're not looking for singles of either sex, just couples). Also unusual in that we both smoke! (and not just from the friction.....).
Enough for now.

I've just filled out a (very) few of the items in my profile, but I'm somebody who would rather make my mind up about people by chatting to them, or at munches than by looking at a checklist. Horses for courses though, so I agree that if you expect to make contact with people via the chatroom or adverts then a reasonably complete profle is a necessity.

I think it's more constructive critisism.
If some of the people who moan about not getting a reply or meets read this - it can help them to improve their chances of getting a meet.

I haven't and won't fill in my profile here because I don't want to wade through millions of unsolicted PMs everytime I log in.
There is enough information about myself in my advert which is linked to any PM I send out by the "Veiw this person's advert" button. In my opinion, if they can't be bothered reading the advert for the information then I'm not too bothered about spoon feeding info just to get a shag.
I got mail from admin asking me to fill in my profile so they can send me weekly updates of users who might be of interest to me! My reply.... no thanks, I'll find my own shags! lol

I'd much prefer people got to know me for me rather than a bunch of statistics on a page which at the end of it all tell you very little. My method suits me and the way I like to play. maybe others methods suit them, each to their own as to whether they use the site fully or not.
