Signatures - Dont you love em?

I really like the signatures whether profound or funny. If they are an 'in' joke then thats cool too as it tales butt a wink of an eye to disregard and does no harm.
I often think of changing mine but then i find so many good quotes and go oh that ones the best! Wait..... this one is better. But hang on.... Nope this is funnier. Or maybe i should go with the one with gravitas, etc, etc. In the end i in the main give up and go read some posts.

Even a cable tie :rascal:
I used to love 'em, until the Gremlins started eating mine- just spent ages trying to get rid of them, to no avail :taz:
Yes I quite like reading sigs, whether you can tell much about the poster's character is hard to fathom, but nonetheless I like seeing what people put. I equally like profound and jokey but not fussed with mega long ones particularly flashing pics especially when this is in a thread that has a lot of postings from that person. It does my eyes in.

Signatures can be great fun! biggrin
Agreed - some sigs can ne fun - but we dont like the flashing ones as they can burn your eyeballs out your head (or so I was told).

It can also be problematic for people who've had a stroke, for example. There's at least one member on here who can suffer if she goes in certain chatrooms even, because of the contrast.
I like some of the sigs.
They're sometimes more interesting than the post confused
.
Ooooh !.......... suggestions for my sig rolleyes

Well FB, you've also encouraged her by quoting me, and now I've further encouraged her by quot....oh, damn!
There's nowt clever or cryptic about my signature.
On another site I have "you're so vain, you probably think this post is about you ..." in response to someperson who insisted I was always posting stuff about him. rolleyes
I've had quotes that I agreed with, lines from songs, links to my ad etc ... I like a change now and again - when I can be arsed, really.
Since I last posted I've radically downsized my sig - for those that know me well probably realise that I very rarely do this

I did once.....on another site way back in the day......
But I've had therapy since then rolleyes
I admit to being a "sayings" freak.. i love these trite little gems that can make you think a little differently... I am in danger of having a long line of them in a very very tiny font.. lol
i have no scruples borrowing well said words.. words are for sharing.. like tasty people cool Flashing and garish pics annoy.. true.. but some of the sigs are soo clever..make me chuckle... i drip envy on occasion.. rolleyes
and I still cannot find quite the right Avatar  still, i am using it as quite a good excuse to perv website looking for something special.... wink

...and can sometimes be a window to the mind.
"The strongest is never strong enough to be always the master, unless he transforms strength into right, and obedience into duty" - Rousseau. Message from the 18th Century for all people in a position of power.
Mine usually come from books. If I come across something I like in a book that I'm reading, I'll change my signature.
The current one was from a partly-overheard conversation. I just wish I knew what they were talking about.
I read many signatures, and there are some that I quite like. They're usually an interesting thought expressed in an interesting way, and say something about the poster. Length, colours, and pictures usually put me off. And I think I'm sufficiently out that I don't even notice that the in-jokes are in-jokes.
Oooooooooo Ive just seen Sarge's, its a very strange looking one confused
Pet hates for sigs:
overly long sigs - four lines should be more than enough to prove you're either well read and erudite or funny!
animated sigs - off putting when trying to read a post and clutter up more lines.
Other than that post and be damned!
