I once heard somewhere, that in relationships, where couples share a bed to sleep for the night, subconsciously the man always takes the position nearest the bedroom door....this was believed to be down to the fact that they could 'leap into action' should any trouble arise.
Have a think about which is 'your' side of the bed and which is your 'sleeping' partners side, and see if its true.

Which side of the bed do you sleep?
Tried to vote but got "Could not update poll result".
I used to sleep furthest from the door but we changed that a few months back because Mrs C had a shoulder strain and needed to sleep facing the other way.
Reminds me of the old saying about never sleeping with your feet towards the bedroom door 'cos that's the way they'll carry you out when you're dead :shock:
