Kentswingers, it seems clear that you feel passionate about this issue. This should be commended, far too few people take an interest in current affairs.
Unfourtunatly, i disagree with what you write - on several levels.
You accuse teachers of holding children to ransom before their exams. Teachers have devoted their working lives to helping children achieve, and in particular will have spent the last two years helping their GCSE classes. Why would the teachers then risk making all their hard work meaningless just to score points ?
As you write that using the Union was the wrong decision, i am genuinly interested to know this - how would you advise teachers to go about securing a fair wage without going through their legal Union?
Terming the Unionists "leftie union hotheads" is not helpful. By using emotive and derogatory language, you introduce an element of childish name calling into what could be a highly interesting, adult discussion. If you do not show respect for others then you cannot expect to have any respect given to you.
